T: Today we will talk about holidays in English-speaking countries. And let`s pay attention to “Guy Fawkes Night” because it`s a childish holiday.
But first of all, who tries to remember some important holidays of Great Britain and the USA. ( Появляются слайды, ученики угадывают)
T: Thank you for your work.
4. Введение праздника «День Гая Фокса»
T: Now, dear boys and girls, let`s try to tell something about children`s holiday “Guy Fawkes Night”. Look at the board, where you can see some pictures of this holiday. I think you should revise the material we`ve done so far and try to tell the story about “Guy Fawkes Night”.
P1: A tradition which is observed in England today is to celebrate the 5th of November, Guy Fawkes Night or as it is widely known amongst English children Bonfire Night.
P2: On this evening Englishmen remember the Gunpowder Plot which was discovered on the 5th of November 1605. At that time there were political and religious difficulties in England.
P3: Guy Fawkes was one of the men who took part in this plot and it was he, who was found in the cellars with the gunpowder on the evening of the 5th of November.
P4: Nowadays the evening of the 5th of November is remembered by English children in the following way. It`s a custom that in the weeks before the 5th of November children make “a guy” named after Guy Fawkes. The word “guy” in the English language now means a sort of doll made of straw, pieces of material and old clothes.
P5: The children paint a face on their guy, then in the two or three weeks before the 5th of November they wheel the guy on a wheel barrow or a trolly around the streets and stop a passer-by.
P6: “A penny for the guy, a penny for the guy” the shout. What they want is, of course, that passer-by should give them money which they will spend on fireworks.
P7: In this weeks before Guy Fawkes Night the bonfire is also prepared. Wood, rubbish, anything which is unnecessary or not needed is collected together in a large heap ready for the evening of the 5th of November.
P8: A very large bonfire may be organized in a park in a large town or city and controlled by that town or city, or it may be simply a smaller fire at the end of a street in someone`s back garden organized by separate families or by several families living in one part of a town.
P9: There is usually a fireworks display as well as a bonfire on November 5.
P10: Again this may be quite small, when fathers let off of the fireworks for the delight of their small children or they may be quite large, like fireworks displays in some of the big cities.
T: I fully agree with you. I think that everyone who sits in this room has got interesting information about “Guy Fawkes Night” but one eye witness is better than two hear-so`s”. I want to present a film about “Guy Fawkes Night”.

P2: There are four things which are associated with Bonfire Night: toffee apples, potatoes, hot dogs and sausages.
P3: You are a very attentive. But Bonfire Night attracted me most of all, when children had a lot of fun.
P4: Of course, every child had a lot of fun. As for me I like history and very often I pay much attention to the historical side of the film. The boy made a project about Bonfire Night and it was great.
P5: History, history you know only history. I have a headache when you talk about history, but I liked a guy. I didn`t know that a guy was a sort of a doll made of straw.
T: I fully agree with you. And I see that everyone can tell something about Guy Fawkes Night. But there are a lot of another holidays in English-speaking countries and you should answer the questions on these cards. But I see you are tied, stand up, please. Let`s sing a song together (учитель раздаёт сначало карточки, но прежде чем начать делать, выполняется физкультминутка, стоя поём первый куплет песни Элвиса Пресли)

T: Now, dear boys and girls. Try to remember the material we`ve done so far.
P6: We have learnt more about Guy Fawkes Night. It is funny holiday for children.
P7: As for me it was so interesting to watch so wonderful film in English.
P8: I fully agree with you, we had a chance to watch a film. And I want to tell one proverb “one eye witness is better than two hear-so`s”

Выходят мальчик и девочка со словами
P1: Dear guests! We are glad to see you here. Today we will represent you a fairy-tale “The wolf and seven little kids”
P2: I like fairy-tales, because they learn us to be clever and nice. We`ll hope that you must be very attentive. We will begin.
На сцену выходит автор: You know an old story about a wolf and seven little kids. Now the play begins.
На сцену выходят козлята и мама.
Мама: Now, my dear children, I must go to the market and get some milk for you. You must sit still. You must not let anybody in. Lock the door and good-bye.
( дети прощаются с мамой и уходят, мама поёт песню «Сэлли»)
На сцену выбегают козлята и один козлёнок говорит: Yes, our mother has gone away. Let`s dance together.(козлята встают вкруг и танцуют, после садятся и выполняют домашнюю работу и вдруг приходит волк)
Волк: Open the door, It`s me your mother, I have some milk for you.
Дети: No, you are not our mother, go away, go away.
( волк уходит, козлята начинают прибираться, подметать)
Автор: And the wolf goes and drinks some hot milk with a lot of butter in it.
Волк: Open the door, my dear children, it`s me your mother.
Дети: You are not our mother, go away, go away
Козлёнок: Look, our mother is coming.
(входит мама, все её окружают)
Мама: Good afternoon, dear children. I want you to show me your homework. I will help you.
( дети выстраиваются в ряд, начинаются английские песни)
Мама: Oh, I am tied. And I must go to the forest. Good-bye, children. See you soon.
Дети: Good-bye.
Автор: Do you hear. That is the wolf again.
Волк: Do you give up?
Дети: No, no.
Волк: One, two, three…..ломает дверь, вламывается в дом, козлята прячутся за стулья, кричат: Mother, mother…
В это время вбегает мама и выгоняет волка, волк плачит и уходит. Дети и мама обнимаются и поют:
