Dear Tom,
Thank you for your letter. It was great to hear from you. Sorry for haven’t written for so long. I have been busy with my exams. You asked me about my English.
You see, we study British English at school but we also study the differences between it and American English. I find that very interesting and useful. You know, nowadays the knowledge of English is very important for being an educated person all over the world. Though some foreign grammar rules are very hard to understand, I can manage. Our lessons include reading speaking and singing, which I like. Unfortunately, textbooks aren’t able to explain everything, that’s why I often have a lot of questions to our English teacher.
By the way, what do you find the most difficult in the Russian language? Is it true the Americans don’t use the present perfect often? What about your visit to Russia to have some practice in my language?
Well, I have to go now. I promised my Mom to clean the bathroom. Write me soon.
