Тема: «The place we live in»

Учитель английского языка

Тема урока: «The place we live in»

Тин и вид урока: урок совершенствования речевых навыков монологической, диалогической речи, аудирования.

Форма урока: традиционная.

Цели:

а) практический компонент: совершенствование речевых навыков
монологической, диалогической речи, аудирования;

б) воспитательный компонент: воспитание патриотизма, гордости за свою
родину;

в)развивающий компонент.: развитие механизма вероятностного прогнозирования, логического мышления, внимания, памяти, речемыслительной активности учащихся;

г) образовательный компонент: расширение кругозора учащихся путём знакомства с традициями, обычаями страны изучаемого языка.

Сопутствующие задачи:

а) совершенствование фонетических навыков;

б) совершенствование грамматических навыков.

Оснащение урока:

1)  интерактивная доска;

2)  мультимедийная презентация;

3)  магнитофон, кассета с записью,

4)  доска, мел;

5)  ручки, карандаши;

6)  раздаточный материал по теме урока (карточки, картинки).

I. Орг. момент: постановка цели урока, установка на
успешную работу.

Good morning, boys and girls! I'm glad to see you today. This lesson we are going to speak about the place we live in. You are going to learn a bit more about a traditional English house, tell about the flat or house where you live, describe your dream house. At the end of the lesson we shall see if there is really no place like home.

II. Языковая зарядка

Before we start, let's practice our pronunciation. Repeat the twister after me:

Where is the White House and who is in it?

III. Речевая зарядка.

Please, look at the blackboard and tell:

-  What is it?

-  How many rooms are there in the house?

-  What rooms are upstairs and what rooms are downstairs? Let's go down to detailed description.

1.  The image of a bathroom

Answer the questions:

1) What room is it?

2. The image of a kitchen

Ask each other questions about this room.

3. The image of a bedroom

Answer the questions: Is there a bed in the middle of the room? Is there a lamp on the bed? Are there chairs behind the wardrobe?

IV. Говорение. Развитие неподготовленной диалогической речи.

You know there are a lot of flats and houses for sale. Here is a dialogue.

Please, read it and make up your own one up to the model.

The model:

-I know you got a new flat. How do you like it?

-It's nice! I like it a lot.

-How many rooms are there in your flat?

-There are two: a sitting room and a e and see me some

day.

The pupils are making up and telling their dialogues.

V. Развитие навыков аудирования.

You got a new flat. Here is a plan of one of your rooms. Let's furnish the room.

I read the text and you write down where the furniture is. Afterwards we check if you are right.

The text:

There is a bookcase on the right of the door. There is a sofa on the left of the door. There are two armchairs on the left of the sofa. There is a carpet in the middle of the room. There are three chairs near the table. There is a TV in the right corner of the room. There is a mirror in the left corner of the room.

Let's see if you are right...

VI. Совершенствование навыков чтения и письма.

Oh, I got a letter from my friend Jim. He got a new flat as well. He describes it in his letter. But some words are missing. Read the letter and complete it. Let's check! Read the letter, please.

VII. Let's have a little rest and do exercises.

VIII. Совершенствование устной подготовленной монологической речи.

- It is interesting to know what is a traditional English house like?
Pupil 1 tells about a traditional English house.

- Arthur lives in a flat, he tells about it.
Pupil 2 tells about his flat.

-  Dasha lives in a house. She tells about it.
Pupil 3 tells about her house.

-Ruslan describes us his dream house. Pupil 4 describes his dream house.

IX. Совершенствование навыков аудирования, чтения, письма.

A boy called Jack lost his toy, a Teddy bear and he asks to help him find it. Listen to the tape recorder; write down the missing words.... Let's check! Let's read the poem:

Where, oh where Is my Teddy Bear?

Is he in the... ? (living room)

Is he in the pink... ? (bathroom)
Where, oh where

Is my Teddy Bear?

In the..., on the...?(kitchen, chair)

In my favourite blue... ? (armchair)

Where are you My little Ted?

Here you are

By the way, it is not only a poem, it is a song as well. Let's sing!

X. Контроль навыков и умений, полученных на уроке.

Fill in the preposition

1)  There is a carpet... the floor.

2)  There are chairs... the left of the window.

3)  There is a bed in the corner...the bedroom.

4)  There are toys... middle of the sitting room.

XI. Развитие языковой догадки.

I've got a picture of a room. Please, ask me questions to guess what

room it is.

It is a bedroom.

XII. Заключение.

We like our homes. There are a lot of proverbs about homes. The English often say: "There is no place like home", "East or West, home is best", "My house is my castle".
