Обобщающий урок-соревнование в 7 классе
Цель: создать условия для активизации лексического материала
Задачи:
· создать атмосферу соревнования
· закрепить знание страноведческого материала, изученного в 7 классе
· развивать навыки диалогической речи
· через содержание заданий повторить и закрепить знание лексико-грамматического материала за курс 7 класса
Оборудование: листы с заданиями для команд, листы для ответов.
Урок проходит в форме соревнования. Класс делится на команды (2-4, в зависимости от наполняемости группы), раздаются листы с заданиями и листы для ответов. Учитель выступает в роли ведущего. В конце урока подводятся итоги конкурса, объявляется команда – победитель.
Task 1: Make as many words from the letters of the main word “CHAMPIONSHIP” as you can. Translate the words. Use the dictionary if you need it. (5 minutes)
Task 2: Say what these proverbs mean. (10 minutes)
1) Every dog has his day. (Don’t be upset, nobody knows what life has in store for him.)
2) You live and learn.
3) I love to listen to funny jokes but not when I have much work to do. There’s a time and place for everything.
Task 3: Make the dialogue and act it out. (5 minutes)
- From Boston. I’m from the United States.
- Hi, Helen. How are you?
- Pleased to meet you, Helen. Where do you come from?
- Fine, thanks. How are you?
- Pleased to meet you, Roy. I’m Helen Carey.
- Fine, fine. Let me introduce my friend. This is Roy Mill from Canada.
