“ LOVE IS…”

Цель: развивать творческую активность, прочное усвоение языкового материала, самостоятельность, интерес к изучению английского языка.

Воспитательная цель: формирование уважительного отношения к Родине, природе, матери, животным, музыке.

Teacher: Our meeting is devoted to LOVE. It is called “ Love is…”

I think & I’m sure that every person meets his/her love one day. What is love? Some people say & explain this word in different ways. But all of them agree that “ LOVE is the WILLING to LIVE”.

Today we’ ll try to express our feelings. We say that love is great feeling. It may be directed to different things, persons or phenomena. Somebody said that Love is a coin with two sides & you don’t know what side will appear. On the one hand, there are some happy minutes that are very important for us. On the other hand, there are some disappointments sometimes. But nevertheless all people are eager to love & to be loved.

1 We’ ll begin our conversation with the great feeling – Love to our Motherland. We call this feeling - Patriotism.

Maslennikov D. will tell about it.

“ I’d like to tell you about my love to the country I live *****ssia is my native country. It is the largest country in the world.

The land of Russia is varies greatly. We have thick forests & vast plains, high mountains & deep *****ssia is rich in rivers & lakes. I simply adore our Volga.

Russian flag has three colors : white, blue, red. These colors have always been symbolic in Russia. They symbolize NOBELNESS, HONESTY, COURAGE & Love.

Russia is a country of great traditions. This a country of open & hospitable people.

I love my country & can’t imagine my life without it.

2 From our childhood to mature days we keep our great respect & love to our mother. Repina L. has written her composition devoted to her & all mothers.

3 Of course, our life, our mood are closely connected with NATURE. LOVE & NATURE are together. LOVE in winter is from cold. LOVE in summer is from heat. LOVE in spring is from the first leaves. LOVE in autumn is from the last leaf. Love is everywhere & from everything.

4 We can’t live without MUSIC. Music is a part of our life. Some people prefer classical music, some people are fond of pop, rock & club music.

Ulyankina Yul. will tell us about her love to music.

5 Do you like animals? Certainly you do. We love all of them: fluffy & with sharp teeth, very little & very big. Animals are our friends.

Kuhtenko N. will tell us about her love to animals.

6 “ Sport is Life”- such is a slogan. Today we can change this slogan into “ Sport is Love’.

Kozlova M. will tell us about her love to sport.

7 Somebody said: “ A man & a woman are two boxes in which the keys from each other are kept “. Listen to the poem of Rudyard Kipling - the classical English writer - “ The Light that Failed”

Nasonov I. will recite the poem.

The Love Letter

Once there was a boy who loved a girl very much. The girl’s father didn’t like the boy and he didn’t want their love to grow. The boy wanted to write the girl a love letter, but he was sure that the girl’s father would read it first. At last he wrote this letter to the girl.
