Academy’s history goes back to 1970 – the time of foundation of Khabarovsk Institute of National Economy that was renamed into Khabarovsk State Academy of Economics and Law in 1994.

Khabarovsk State Academy of Economics and Law is the only Institution of Higher Education in the Russian Far East of economic-law profile that trains specialists for various fields of economics and law.

* Training is conducted at 6 Schools in 23 specialties (full-time studies, correspondence studies, external studies and distance learning – partially internet delivered online courses).

COMMERCE

Majors: Economics and Management at Enterprises (trade and public catering); Merchandising and Goods Expertise (in the sphere of merchandising expertise and appreciation of goods in internal and external trade); Catering Technology.

MANAGEMENT

Majors: Enterprise Management (Specializations: “Production Management”; “International Management”), Labor Economics, Human Resource Management, State and Municipal Management, Risk Management (Specializations: “Evaluation of enterprises (business)”), Economy and Management at Enterprises (tourism and hospitality), Mathematical Methods in Economics, Applied Information Science in Economics (Specializations: “Corporative Information Systems”).

INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS

Majors: World Economy (Specialization: “Foreign Economic Activity”; “International Business”), Marketing (Specialization: “International Marketing”), Commerce (Trade) (Specialization: “Commerce on Foreign Market of Goods and Services”), Advertisement, Economic Theory (Specialization: “Analytical Economics”), Public Relations, Logistics and Supply Chains Management.

FINANCE

Majors: Finance and Credit (Specialization: “Banking”; “Insurance”; “State and Municipal Finance”; “Financial Management”), Taxes and Taxation (Specialization: “Tax Administration”, “Tax Consulting”).

LAW

Major: Law (Specialization: “State Law”; “Civil Law”; “Criminal Law”; “International Law”; “Municipal Law”).

MASTER’S STUDY

One can study at Master’s Programs under the direction of Economics (programs “Labor Economy”, “Finance”, “Economic Theory and Modern Russia’s problems”, “International Economics”, “Accounting, Analysis and Auditing”, Mathematical Methods of Economic Analysis”, “Economics of Environment and Natural Resources”) and Management (“General and Strategic Management”, “International Business”).

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS (FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS)

For invitation procedure, fill in the application form on Academy’s website www. ***** in section International Activity/Information for foreigners and send it to International Relations Department by e-mail *****@***ru together with your scanned passport page (photo included).

On arrival at Academy applicants are to submit the documents as follows:

application for admission to the Academy addressed to Rector; original educational document and its supplements, legalized in accordance with established procedure; translation of foreign educational document and its supplements in Russian notarized in accordance with the established procedure; copy of passport; copy of entrance visa in Russian Federation; 8 photos (3x4 cm); original medical certificate verified by official body of health service and notarized and verified translation of certificate in Russian; certificate of absence HIV infection verified by official body of directive country’s health service. medical insurance is effected on arrival in Russia.

You can get pre-university training in the Pre-university training centre (mathematics) and in Cross-cultural communication centre (Russian language).

CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION CENTRE

has over 10-year experience of teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Centre offers two types of courses - the Russian language, culture and customs -the Russian language for businessmen

We offer three language comprehension levels:

·  for beginners

·  intermediate

·  advanced

Teaching Methodology: role-playing games and dialogues, audio and video records, modern computer programs, authentic tests.

Classes include: oral speech, listening comprehension skills, reading, grammar and writing.

Courses duration: 1-2 terms, 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday).

At the end of courses you can take Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL).

All year round foreign students are offered 6 levels of TORFL: elementary, basic, I Certificate, II Certificate, III Certificate, IV Certificate. First Certificate Level grants the opportunity to enter bachelor specialist degree in any Russian university.

Second Certificate Level allows you to enter master’s and graduate study in Russian universities.
