Выполнение и оформление контрольных заданий

Контрольные работы включают в себя устные сообщения на определенные темы, задания по грамматике и работе с текстами.

По устным темам необходимо подготовить пересказ. Задания по грамматике, перевод текста и задания к тексту выполняются письменно в отдельной тетради, аккуратно, четким почерком. При этом следует оставлять в тетради поля для замечаний, объяснений и методических указаний рецензента. Выполненное задание направляется для проверки в вуз в установленные сроки
или сдается студентом лично в деканат.

Проверка письменно выполненного задания проводится преподавателем, который в зависимости от степени усвоения материала студентом делает заключение: “Допущен к собеседованию” или “На доработку”.

Контрольная работа № 4 включает в себя:

1. Разговорная практика. Устные сообщения и беседа по темам “International Cooperation” и “Industrial Enterprise”.

2. Грамматика: Причастие I и II. Причастные обороты. Герундий.

3. Работа с текстом. Чтение и перевод текста общетехнического содержания. Выполнение заданий к тексту.

The famous plant was founded in 1926 and began to produce carts, rakes, ploughs. In 1930 the factory manufactured its first grain harvester which was awarded the Grand Prix at the international exhibition in Paris.

In 60 years of its operation Rostselmash has developed several modernization programmes. Every new model was better than the previous one in efficiency, reliability and other performance characteristics.

The transition to the “Don” combine set super complex tasks before the factory. Within a short period of time the plant had to develop a new combine that would meet the requirements of scientific and technological progress. In the process of transition to the new model the factory worked out the principal directions of its technical policy:

-  construction of new projects with the finance of the state;

-  modernization of operating production shops.

This policy has led to outstanding results. Within five years the plant developed the machine reflecting the latest trends in international agricultural engineering. Rostselmash is equipped with high production machine-tools, industrial robots, automatic control systems. Advanced technologies are widely used at the plant The factory specialists are skilled and experienced but Rostselmash needs well-educated young engineers and managers capable to make their contribution to further development of the enterprise.

Computers and Tomorrow’s Factory

One of the most important developments of the last century is the puters are used nowadays for many different kinds of work in offices, banks, factories, hospitals, universities and schools. It is the incredible speed of computers along with their memory capacity that make them so useful and valuable.

In the engineering industry of the future all three basic operations – design, machining and administration - will be done with the help of computers which will greatly reduce the need for human labour.

There would be three main computers: each one for the flexible manufacturing system, design and administration. Instructions that enter the first computer control how and which goods are made; draughtsmen work out the goods to be made with the second machine; and in the third computer are lodged all the details about orders, scheduling, the state of stocks and so on. All three computers are linked to each other and also to an automated warehouse from which raw materials are passed by a transport mechanism to the factory floor and the machining area.

The few places where people would be involved with the factory processes would be in the design room and in a control area where the factory’s administrators work. Draughtsmen would design products using keyboards and screens. The codes representing the designed parts would come along wires to the production computer which, in turn, would instruct its battery of machine-tools to make the items. There would be a few “seeing” robots in the production department to make the assembly job easier. Meanwhile, the factory’s administrators could keep track of the whole operation getting information from the system by entering instructions to their terminals.

The heart of the factory would be a complex communications network that links all the machines at the plant so that they constantly relay instructions to each other. In this way all the machines at the plant would inform each other of what is going on. The mechanisms at the plants will be linked by wires in the same way as the telephone network connects towns and villages, houses and offices. The main difference is that the machines will talk to each other in a binary code. It would not be an unmanned factory but it would be pretty near such a thing.
