Тема: «Britain Is an Attractive Land»
Задачи: 1) Обобщить тему « The World Around Me».
2) Развивать навыки говорения, чтения, аудирования.
3) Развивать у учащихся интерес к изучаемому языку.
Оборудование: Компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, магнитофон, раздаточный материал.
Ход урока
Оргмомент. Слайд№1.Учитель: Hello, my dear friends! Today we’ ll travel to Britain and you will see that the world around us is so wonderful!
( На экране появляется карта Великобритании и надпись «Britain Is an Attractive Land»

2. Фонзарядка.
1) ( На экране появляется стихотворение) Слдйд№3.
Учитель: Look at the screen, please. This poem is about our world, about our Motherland. It proves that everything around us is beautiful. Listen to it, please.
I used to see the stars at night.
I used to hear the birds.
I used to feel the warmth of the sun.
I used to smell the springtime flowers
And sing so happily.
I used to sing a song about the beauty of the world.

Учитель: Now, pretend that you are in Britain. You are walking in one of the London’ s parks. Speak with British people, ask them questions about the UK.
1) England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland are in the UK, aren’t they? ( Yes, they are.)
2) What languages do people speak in Scotland? (In Scotland people speak English and Scottish)
3) What languages do people speak in Wales? (In Wales people speak English and Welsh)
4) What languages do people speak in Ireland? ( In Ireland people speak English and Irish)
5) What can tourists see in Britain? ( They can see attractive landscapes, amazing land, famous places)
6) What can tourists see in Scotland? ( Tourists can see amazing lakes in Scotland.)
7) What can tourists see in Wales? ( Tourists can see romantic valleys in Wales.)
8) What can tourists see in England? (Tourists can see attractive landscapes in England.)
9) What can tourists see in Northern Ireland? (Tourists can see green hills in Northern Ireland.)
10) What is the symbol of Wales? (A daffodil is the symbol of Wales.)

3) What park has Marble Arch as the gateway to the park?
4) Where are Queen Mary ’s Gardens?
5) Where can you see tall trees, rare flowers and animals?
7. Подведение итогов.
Today we spoke about Britain, about places that tourists can visit, about attractions.
Britain is an attractive land. Do you agree?
But we must remember – East or West – home is best!
Our country is the most attractive, the most wonderful, amazing place in the world. Слайд№11.
