Hello, dear boys and girls, our colleagues and guests!

We are glad to great you at our exam in a form of creative activities of our students. Today we are going to have very interesting exploration of Russia and English cultures. We have groups for presentation their countries. They prepared their projects, national music, costumes, even humor to demonstrate you. To do this we`ll have a lot of interesting tasks. Let me introduce our assistants the 10-th formers.

They will give you marks for each task. We wish you to be artistic, active, expressive and of course to be correct in your speech.

Good luck and success! Are you ready? Let`s start.

The title is “Meeting of Cultures”.

The motto is:

New things to learn

New things to see

New things to hear

New things to do

And what about you?

We would like to start with one of the poem written by Edith Segal.

If I were a builder,

I`d make big bridges,

Bridges to far-away lands:

To Asia, to Africa, South America,

Bridges to Europe, Ireland, Iraq.

I`d walk round the world

To visit people

And when we shook hands,

We`d make little bridges.

Yes, we are people of different cultures but we live on one and the same planet. We can to be tolerant to each other, and can have tolerance to other people`s views. We are sure learning cultures of English-speaking countries are ways to understand them.

And now is the first task. Listen to three anthems and try to answer which countries they belong to.

This famous quotation from Chekhof`s works is well known. Fashion plays a great role in our life. We want to be attractive and our clothes accentuates our individuality. We have a group for presentation of different combinations of clothes and styles in Russia and Great Britain. Please, keep in mind main things: correctness, expressiveness, quickness.
