SOVNET Russian Project Management Association with the help and participation of International Project Management Association - IPMA, Governments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and of some large professional and public international, national organisations and companies for the first time in Nizhny Novgorod hold the International Symposium: "Project Management :Power. Society. Business" under the motto: "Professional project management is the key factor of efficiency, development and prosperity!"

The Symposium is held from February, 14 till February, 18, 2007 in Nizhny Novgorod.

AIMS AND TASKS OF THE SYMPOSIUM

· Increase of efficiency of the state, regions, society and business by means of use of the project approach and professional project and program management.

· Working out of model of innovative development of the region on the basis of realisation of the system project approach and professional project and program management following the example of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region.

· Distribution of modern technologies of the project approach and management, the best practices and real experience of realisation and management of projects.

· Representation of new concepts, methodology, tools, products and services in the sphere of project and program management.

· Development of the market of innovative, investment projects and professional project and program management.

· Expansion of business contacts of professionals and organisations working in the field of project and program management.

FEATURES OF THE SYMPOSIUM

For the first time the symposium is held in large project - focused scientific industrial region of the Volga Region under home nursing of the governor of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region V. P.Shantsev and has accurately expressed innovative and practical orientation. It is focused on representation of the best domestic and world experience of application of professional methods and tools of the project approach and project and program management, and also their effective adaptation to the decision of actual problems of the state building, regional innovative development, realisation of priority national projects, economy and society dynamically developing under modern conditions.
