Тема: Moods and Feelings

Задачи:

Ход урока:

1)  (1 слайд) оргмомент. Good-morning, students. I’m glad to see you. Sit down. Today we will start a new topic: Moods and Feelings. Translate, please. Ok, thank you. We will speak about our feelings, moods, and emotions. But first of all I’d like to suggest you to read a poem.

2)  (2 слайд) фонетическая зарядка. Listen to me, please. Ok, now let’s translate it. Now repeat after me. Ok, thank you. Read it, please.

3)  речевая зарядка. And what is happiness for you? (- A state of mind or feeling when you are satisfied with something; - when you are in love; - positive emotions )

4)  Are you a happy person? Why? (- I’m a happy person because I’m healthy, wealthy, wise; - I love and I’m loved) How can we describe the word “happiness”? What adjectives can we use? (satisfied, glad, positive, pleased, delighted, joyful, cheerful, lucky )

5)  введение новой лексики. So, look at the board, please. Here you can see a lot of adjectives. Let’s translate them. Open your dictionaries, write it down. Now your task is to match the pictures and these adjectives. For ex. The man in this picture looks rather happy, satisfied and e out to the front, please.

6)  отработка новой лексики. ex. 1, p. 23. Read the task. Now, let’s continue this work.

7)  (3 – 10 слайды) монологическая речь. описание картинок. So, you see that there are a lot of different emotions, moods and feelings. And our mood depends on different situations and things. So, let’s try to explain it. Look at the picture, please and explain why this or that person looks this way. (3 слайд: The girl in this picture looks thoughtful because she is in love/ 4 слайд: The woman looks stressed because she has a lot of work/ 5 слайд: The man looks angry because he is hungry and he is waiting for his dinner for a lot of time/ 6 слайд: The girl looks annoyed and irritated because she is tired of this boy/ 7 слайд: The girl looks depressed because she has a lot of problems in school and with her parents/ 8 слайд: The boy looks happy and satisfied because he has received a good news/ 9 слайд: The boy looks scared because he is afraid of being alone in the darkness/ 10 слайд: The girl is sad because somebody has offended her).

8)  диалогическая речь. ex. 1c, p.23. Ok, thank you for your work. You know that our moods and feelings also depend on different kinds of activities. For example, for some persons studying in school is very stressful, but some of them enjoy it. So, lets discuss in pairs what do you like to do and what not.

9)  (11 слайд) монологическая речь. You know that there are a lot of proverbs and sayings about moods and feelings. Look at these 2 sayings, please. Read it. Do you agree with it? Why? (I agree with it because when you are in love you feel happy and you don’t notice different insignificant problems which happen to you).

10) (12 слайд) чтение. Now your task is to fill in the gaps with the appropriate adjective. I give you 1 minute to look through the text.

11) (13 слайд) Check the answers, please once again.

12) аудирование. Now open your exercise-books. Write down the date and the word Listening. You will listen to 3 people. And your task is to say How do they feel and why. Checking. Why do you think so?

13) (14 cлайд) кроссворд. It’s time for crossword. I give you 2 minutes and then we will check it. What is the key word?

14) (15 слайд) Let’s check the answers.

15) домашнее задание. Your home task is SB ex. 1,2 p.23 – learn new words, speak; ex. 2c p.24.

16) подведение итогов. выставление оценок. конец урока.
