Комбинированный тестер-стенд Elme SVR-SR2

SVR SR-2 STAND

WRIST STRAP AND FOOTWEAR ESD TESTERS

meets IEC

SVR SR has been designed to test the performance of ESD wrist straps and footwears such as clogs, shoes, sandals or footgrounders. The set includes the instrument, the Switch Adapter and the short connection cord, the foot metal plate, the connection cord between the instrument and the footplate, the yellow wall mount plate with instructions. In case of SVR STAND the instrument is supplied mounted on an independent orange metal stand to allow location in the most convenient place within the manufacturing area.

INSTALLATION

The SVR SR -2 has been designed for a wall application (wall mount). In case of art SVR STAND it may be placed in any part of the room (no wall needed). Ideally, the best location is at the entrance of the production line, in order to allow the preventive test procedures before starting the daily work.

TESTING PROCEDURE

Select on the instrument the resistive range required:

·  In case of wristbands test turn both instrument (the tester and the switch adapter) on the hand drawing.

·  In case of shoes testing turn both on the shoe drawing.

(Explanation): by turning the test instrument on one of the symbols, you automatically select the correct resistance range as prescribed by the IEC turning the Switch Adapter on one of the symbols, you automatically select the contact with the footplate or with the wristband sockets. This is why it is necessary to select correctly both instruments before performing the test. The advantage lies in the fact that you do not need to have two different testers and you do not need to do any dis-connections. You just need to turn the switch adapter.

TESTING WRISTBANDS

Connect the plug (4mm banana, 10mm button, reverse banana/safety) of your ground cord with the respective receptacle on the Switch Adapter on the yellow plate. Make sure that you are wearing your wristband correctly (tight, in order to ensure the best electrical contact), then press the metal knob on the front side of the tester and hold: a L. E.D. light will show as follows:

·  low fail/high fail red lights + tone: the overall electrical resistance exceeds the limits of the selected range, so the grounding of the operator is not correct

·  green light: the item are within the acceptable limits so the grounding is OK

·  yellow light the battery level is low and they need replacement

TESTING FOOTWEARS

Check that the metal plate cord is connected to the Switch Adapter by inserting the banana terminal in the respective 4mm socket and place the footplate on the floor (the footplate is insulated). Stand on the plate with both feet, touch the metal knob and hold: a L. E.D. light will lighten as follows.

·  low fail/high fail red lights + tone: the resistance of the item exceeds the limits of the prescribed range, so the grounding of the operator is not correct

·  green light: the item are within the acceptable limits so the grounding is OK

·  yellow light the battery level is low and they need replacement

NOTE: you can also perform an individual test for each footwear, just by placing only one feet on the plate.
