Цель:
1. Развивать навык устной речи.
2. Расширять знания детей о столице Соединенного Королевства — Лондоне.
3. Воспитывать интерес к стране изучаемого языка.

—книги о Лондоне;
—фотографии городов: Москвы, Петербурга, Ростова-на-Дону, Петрозаводска и др.;
—картинки с настроением.
Ход урока.
I. Орг. момент.
Good morning! Glad to see you! Greet our guests. Sit down!
Before beginning the lesson we shall speak about your mood! I have the pictures of 4 faces. They are «Ok», «Bad», «Good», «So-so». If your mood is fine, draw «Good», if your mood is good, draw «Ok», if your mood is bad, draw «Bad», if your mood is so-so, draw «So-so». Try to explain why?
II. Today we shall speak about a town and a city in general. And we'll get some information about the capital of the UK - London.

VII. Составление рассказа о родном городе.
Работа в группах:
а) составление сообщения по опорным словам и словосочетаниям;
б) пересказ по предложению;
в) пересказ одного ученика.
Why do you decide to speak about your town (city)? (There is no place like home).
