The distance from the airport to the city is approx. 20 km. Transportation will be arranged for with either large buses or minibuses, depending on the size of the delegations and their time of arrival.
This service will also be provided for delegations arriving by train.
The hotel offers 162 rooms, WLAN, one restaurant (opening hours 11 AM to 11 PM) and one bar (6 AM to 1 PM).
There is a shopping mall adjoining the hotel as well as a pedestrian precinct with many shops and restaurants.
Direct access is given to a parking house with special rates for hotel guests.
4. Facilities and Services

In the pressroom phone, and Internet access will be available. Fax is also available in the centre. Please notice, that only the accredited members of the press will have admission to the pressroom.
Entry fee to the Centre:
There will be no entry fee to the bowling centre for spectators.
Transportation:
Transportation from/to airport will be arranged either in buses or smaller minibuses depending on the number of people arriving at the same time.
The hotel is near to the bowling centre. There will be a continuous service between hotel and bowling centre.

All the scores and standings will be announced and printed during the squads, posted in the bowling centre and at the hotel. All scores and standings will also be available at the website.

6. Prices and Payments:
Members of the Official Delegations:
For each player, coach and official of the official delegation an entry fee of Ђuro 185,00 must be paid to the German Bowling Federation.
Supporters:
The fee for extra persons in excess of the official delegation is Ђuro 135,00.
This fee allows the extra persons to use the provided transportation between airport, designated hotel and bowling centre and to participate in the Opening Ceremony and Farewell Party free of charge.
Additional Farewell Banquet tickets Ђuro 60,00.

8. Rules European Champions Cup (ECC)
6.1 Delimitations
6.1.1. There is no age limitation for the ECC.
6.1.2. The ECC is conducted each year in September or October.
6.1.3. In each ECC there is a women’s and a men’s division.
6.2 Participants
6.2.1. The reigning national woman and man champion from each ETBF member federation. Each federation shall define who the reigning national champion is.
6.2.2. If a reigning national champion is not able to participate it is allowed for the federation to send no. 2 from their championships (or no. 3 or 4 etc.).
6.2.3. The champions of the last ECC are automatically qualified for participation to defeat their titles.
6.3 Qualification
6.3.1. 24 games per player, divided in 3 squads of 8 games.
6.3.2. The first squad will be played on short oil. The second squad will be played on long oil. In the third squad the left lane of a pair will be dressed with short oil and the right lane with long oil.
6.3.3. In all qualifying squads there will be the same number of players per pair of lanes.
6.3.4. The top 8 players after the 24 qualifying games are qualified for the Final, seeded as 1-8 according to their position after the qualification.
6.4 Final
6.4.1. In all steps of the final there will head to head matches, where the highest seeded players will be matched against the lowest seeded player.
6.4.2. Each match will consist of 2 or 3 games. If the same player is the winner of the first two games, the 3rd game will not be played.
6.4.3. Each match will be played on one pair of lanes, where the left lane will be dressed with short oil and the right lane with long oil.
6.4.4. Each game in a match will be played on the same lane.
6.4.5. In each match the highest seeded player will decide whether the first game will be played on the left lane or the right lane. The second game will be played on the other lane and an eventually third game on the same lane as the first game.
6.4.6. In each match the highest seeded player is deciding whether he wants to begin the first game or not. In the second game the order of players will be opposite to the first game and in an eventually third game the order of players will be the same as in the first game.
6.4.7. In case of withdrawals from any match in the final, the player without opponent will be declared the winner of the match.
6.4.8. There will be 4 matches in the final step 1, including the players seeded 1-8. The winners of the 4 matches will continue to the final step 2.
6.4.9. There will be 2 matches in the final step 2, including the 4 winners of the final step 1. The winners of the 2 matches will continue to the final step 3.
6.4.10. There will be 1 match in the final step 3, including the 2 winners of the final step 2.
6.5 Positioning
6.5.1. The winner of the match in the final step 3 will be positioned as number 1 and the loser of the match as number 2.
6.5.2. The losers of the matches in the final step 2 will be positioned as number 3 and 4 according to their seeding before the final.
6.5.3. The losers of the matches in the final step 1 will be positioned as number 5, 6, 7 and 8 according to their seeding before the final.
6.5.4. The remaining players will be positioned according to their scores of the 24 games in the qualification.
6.6 World Games Qualification
6.6.1. The World Games will be held every fourth year (2009, 2013 etc.) and the results of the nearest foregoing ECC will be used to qualify for participation.
6.6.2. In total there will be 24 participating teams, 8 from each Zone. The teams will consist of one man and one woman from the same country.
6.6.3. The European Zone qualification for participation in the World Games will be based on the final standings of the ECC as determined by the following method of calculation.
a) In each division (men and women) the number one position will be given one point, the number two position two points, and so on.
b) The points of the man and woman from the same country will be added together and the country with the lowest number of points will qualify as number one, the country with the next lowest number of points will qualify as number two, and so on.
c) When the calculation is made, countries that do not participate in the ECC with one man and one woman will be omitted, and the countries with complete teams will be re-positioned accordingly.
d) When calculating the position of the country, which is also participating in the ECC with the defending champions, only the highest placed of the two players will count.
e) In case of a tie for any position, the highest positioned federation will be the federation with the highest pin fall average based on all games played by the two players.
f) The top eight countries are qualified to participate in the World Games. If one of the top 8 will withdraw from participation in the World Games, then the number 9 qualifier will be offered the opportunity to participate, then the number 10, and so on.
6.7 Amendments
This Chapter was adopted by the Congress in Moscow, Russia on 2 June 2005 and amended after an email ballot in December 2005.
4.1 Medals
4.10.1 The medals to be awarded will be the same for all disciplines in all championships.
4.10.2 The medals to be presented will be the following
a) Gold medal(s) will be presented to the highest positioned in a discipline
b) Silver medal(s) will be presented to the second highest positioned in a discipline
c) Bronze medal(s) will be presented to the third highest positioned in a discipline or to both losers of eventual semi-finals in the discipline
4.10.3 Medals will be presented to the player(s), to the coach and to the federation.
4.10.4 The medals will be provided by ETBF.
4.2 Tie Breaking Rules
4.11.1 Definition of a game score
a) Actual pin fall in the game plus eventual game handicap for an individual player
b) Actual pin fall for any kind of team size in a game plus eventually game handicaps for the players on the team
4.11.2 The following will apply to all disciplines except in head-to-head matches
a) In case of a tie the highest positioned will be the player/team with the highest last game score.
b) If a tie still exist the highest positioned will be the player/team with the highest second last game score etc.
4.11.3 The following will apply to head to head matches
a) In case of a tie in a game a one ball roll off on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken.
b) For the first roll off delivery the players will be positioned on the lanes where they ended the game. The highest ranked player after the qualification will choose the order of play. For a second roll off delivery the players will switch lanes and the order of deliveries will be opposite to the first one etc.
c) There will be no handicap included in roll off deliveries of head-to-head matches.
4.3 Amendments
This Chapter was adopted by the Congress in Moscow, Russia on 2 June 2005.
9. Qualification World Games 2009
The ECC 2008 is also the qualification for the ETBF Membership Federation to participate in the World Games 2009 held in Taipei, Taiwan from 20th to 22nd July, 2009. In accordance to rule 6.6 mentioned before, the top 8 European countries will represent the European Zone.
10. Doping
On behalf of the German National Anti Doping Agency doping controls can be executed.
