(ГЛОБУС) Look, this is our planet: 6 continents, 4 oceans, lots of mountains, rivers, countries and people. They speak different languages, have their own cultures. Do you know what language is the most popular? Yes, you are right, but they don`t speak the language, they use its numerous dialects. Yes, you are right. Thanks.	P1 – I think the most popular language is Chinese, China has the largest population P2 – I think it is English. I heard that about 750 million people use it, and it is the richest language in the world too.	2

Today we`ll continue to talk with you about English-speaking countries Do you know them? Let`s name. SLIDE 1 Do you know anything about these countries? SLIDE 2 Who is the head of the Commonwealth? Yes, what can you say about the UK? Yes, we have already talked about England, today the topic of our lesson is Ireland. SLIDE 3 WE`ll speak about Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic. SLIDE 4 We`ll practise your listening, reading and speaking skills, watch a video film, at the end of the lesson you`ll be proposed a test. You have pupils` sheets and the cards for control. Let`s start SLIDE 5	P1- The USA is an independent country, but Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand and Australia are the country-members of the Commonwealth P2- Queen Elizabeth II is the head of the Commonwealth though she doesn`t have a real power. P3 –The UK consists of 4 parts: England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland	2
