Методическая записка
Данные методические указания предназначены для аудиторной работы студентов 4 и 5 курсов отделения «Туризм» на семинарских занятиях по курсу «Английский язык. Страноведение» и для самостоятельной подготовки к занятиям. Целью методических указаний является ознакомление студентов со структурой и содержанием курса «Страноведение» и с его содержанием, а также развитие навыков устной речи на английском языке по предложенным темам.
Курс «Страноведение» имеет модульную систему. Всего представлено 6 модулей:
1. «The Russian Federation»

6. «New Zealand»
Каждый модуль включает список новых слов по теме (Lexis), которые необходимы для снятия трудностей при понимании лекций на английском языке, и темы в вопросах для устного монологического высказывания (Questions) или презентаций студентов, которые являются планами семинарских занятий.
В данных методических указаниях также представлен раздел «Activities», в который включены различные виды тестов, заданий и квизов, которые предоставляют возможность узнать дополнительную информацию по страноведению, и повышают мотивацию студентов в изучении английского языка.
