Symposium "Exposure-Driven Safety Assessment Strategies" in foods

Dear colleagues,
TNO Quality of Life, together with the SAFE consortium, will organise a two day symposium on "Exposure-Driven Safety Assessment Strategies" in foods, to be held January 31 and February 1, 2008 in Brussels.
I enclose the final version of the Announcement of the sympsosium. We think this will be a most interesting event for risk assessors and risk managers, exposure assessors and toxiclogists in general. We are very pleased that Dr. Herman Koeter, the scientific director of the EFSA will lead the discussions on the second day.

Некоторые уточнения по правилам участия в конкурсах Седьмой Рамочной Программы ЕС
Правила участия третьих стран в конкурсах Седьмой Рамочной Программы ЕС по тематическим направлениям (программа «COOPERATION») таковы, что в консорциуме обязательно участие трех независимых европейских организаций; российский партнер может быть четвертым (схема: 3+1). Предусмотрено финансирование организаций из так называемых “International Cooperation Partner Countries” (ICPC), к которым относится Россия.
В каждом тематическом направлении предусмотрены специальные «действия» по международному сотрудничеству - Specific International Cooperation Actions (SICA). Они подразумевают конкурсы по конкретным тематикам, представляющим взаимный интерес.
Правила четко описаны в документе «Guide for Applicants».
В проектах «Collaborative Projects» по SICA работает схема (2+2): два участника из стран - членов ЕС или ассоциированных стран + две организации из стран ICPC. В случае России, два участника могут быть из разных регионов.
В проектах типа «Coordination and Support Actions» (C&SA), направленных на страны ICPC, правила участия упрощенные.
