2. Past Simple and Past Continuous.

Прошедшее длительное время выражает действие, протекавшее в течение какого-то момента или периода прошедшего времени.

Время действия обычно поясняется обстоятельственными словами (all day – весь день, the whole evening – целый вечер, all summer – все лето), указателями на время (at 4.30 p.m. yesterday – вчера в 4.30, last Monday at this time – в прошлый понедельник в это время) или придаточными предложениями: When I came, my parents were having tea.

Past Continuous употребляется для выражения действия, происходившего в определенный момент в прошлом: She was cooking yesterday from ten to twelve.

Past Simple употребляется для выражения обычного повторяющегося действия или ряда последовательных действий в прошлом: She cooked for two hours, then went for a walk and came home late in the evening.

Past Continuous используется вместе с Past Simple для выражения процесса, протекавшего в момент, когда произошло другое действие ( это действие выражается глаголом в Past Simple): She was playing the piano when the telephone rang.

3. Future forms (will, be going to, Present Continuous).

В английском языке существует несколько лексико-грамматических форм для обозначения будущих действий. Действия могут быть запланированные и незапланированные.

Will и инфинитив основного глагола без частицы to употребляется для обозначения незапланированных действий (will + v). Оборот be going to употребляется для обозначения запланированных действий. Present Continuous используется для выражения отдельных, намеченных на ближайшее будущее действий: I'm playing football on Monday afternoon. Be going to обозначает намерение выполнить действие.. Present Continuous обозначает договоренность выполнить действие.

Будущее время употребляется с такими словами, как tomorrow-завтра,the day after tomorrow - послезавтра, next week - на следующей неделе.

4. Модальные глаголы: should, shouldn’t, can, can’t, have to, don’t have to.

Модальный глагол can выражает разрешение, а can't выражает запрещение.

Модальный глагол have to выражает обязанность или необходимость, зависящую от внешних условий, и переводится на русский язык словами: «вынужден», «должен», «приходится». Dont have to выражает отсутствие обязанности или необходимости и на русский язык переводится словами: «нет необходимости», « не нужно, « не приходиться».

Should выражает совет, рекомендацию и переводится на русский язык словами: «следовало бы». Shouldnt употребляется, когда не рекомендуется делать что - нибудь.

You can take the book now. Вы можете взять эту книгу.

You can’t take this book. Вам не разрешается брать эту книгу.

In spring we have to work in our garden every day. Весной нам приходится работать в саду каждый день.
