The beginning of Xmas. The jury, the students, room AI – all are ready!

First year students were to decorate room AI. This is the Xmas tree made by group 102

Our wonderful presenters – Vladimir Dobrovolski and Daria Luneva (group 301)

Group 201 is singing a Xmas carol!

Evgeniya Nikolayevna Shilova helps her students

After that group 302 showed its puppet performance telling us some Xmas tales

The tales were interesting but not very presentable for such a big room

The story-tellers are Dima Usatov and Vlad Tribuklhovski (group 302)

All students of group 302 were engaged

Group 302 finished its performance with Egor’ singing a pleasant song

The girls from group 302 performed as a dance-group supporting Egor

Then Group 202 sang its Xmas carol

They were very unanimous but we couldn’t here them well. The music was louder

Now was the turn of group 301 to show their performance

The idea of making a battle among ded morozes was extremely brilliant!

Nastya Kurennaya, Katya Vasilenko and Masha Sacheva are bright show-women

Ded Moroz # 1 – Mikhail Gilyov – with his granddaughter – Vera Strelkova

Ded Moroz # 2 – Ivan Smirnov – with his granddaughter – Iola Gumarova

Ded Moroz # 3 – Gregory Zykov

The Deds had real competitions – e. g. such a difficult one as wrapping gifts

Gregory is a great rap-singer

Then students of group 203 sang a Xmas carol with candles

The song was beautiful as well as the singing (rather professional)

Then group 304 showed us a performance about Beavis and Butthead celebrating Xmas

Their performance was devoted to Xmas celebration in different countries

The decorations and costumes were very nice!

The acting of the main heroes was brilliant!

НЕ нашли? Не то? Что вы ищете?

The dancing was almost perfect!

Some traditions were really new to the audience

At the end they sang a pleasant song to sum up their performance

The presenters announce the next performers – group 204 with Xmas carol

Here they are:

Vlad Knysh presented the history of the carol and the girls sang it.

The song came from the bottom of their heart. The jury and the audience appreciated it

And the last performance was shown by group 303. It was a thunderstorm! Everybody liked it most of all

The invited little actress spoke English too

They showed us Xmas celebrated in different parts of the world

Most expressive were the Spaniards acted by Galya Gazizullina and …

Yana Postnikova. Their Spanish accent was brilliant!

Havaiian Xmas

Extraterrestrial Xmas

They even gave everybody candies at the end of their show

Nastya Khaidarova from group 103 sang a beautiful Xmas song while the jury was busy counting the results

Then the jury was ready to announce the results of Xmas projects competition

But first the jury decided to gave individual awards to some students who were most active and bright

Katya Vasilenko (group 301) got a magazine for English teachers “Forum”

Nikita Kolosov and Dima Beloglazov (group 304) got magazines for English teachers “Forum”

Gregory Zykov (group 301) got a magazine for English teachers “Forum”

Galya Gazizullina (group 303) got a magazine for English teachers “Forum”

Yana Postnikova (group 303) got a magazine for English teachers “Forum”

Alyona Dymova (group 301) got a magazine for English teachers “Forum”

A bright young actress, who acted with group 303, got a sweet award

All groups of the 3rd year got diplomas: The 3rd prize went to groups 302 and 304, the 2nd – to group 301 and the 1st prize went to group 303!

The tutors of the Department of English Philology and Contrastive Linguistics wished Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to each group and gave them bags of sweets from our Russian Grandfather Frost!

Xmas was over! Everybody was happy! That is the main thing!

We got acquainted with new Xmas traditions, sang Xmas carols, our students spoke English, told and showed us many interesting things which were really new. Our students are very talented and super creative and they have proved it again today!
