Ход урока

1. - Good morning everybody. Nice to see you. How are you?

- Fine, thanks and you?

- I’m fine too.

- How are your relatives getting on?

(Pupils ask each other using phrases)

Questions:

How are you?

How are you getting on?

How is your mum getting on?

How is your granny feeling?

How is everybody at home?

Replies:

Fine, thank you.

Very well, thank you.

So, so.

Not bad.

Middling.

Not too well.

Very much the same.

I don’t know, I don’t see mush of her (him)

2. Thank you.

- Name the season, the month, the day of the week.

(pupils ask questions each other)

- Is it spring?

- No it isn’t. It’s autumn now.

- Is it March?

3. The topic of our lesson is Flat. (Revising words)

Two teams.

Pupils of one team have cards with words.

Pupils of the other team have cards with pictures.

Match the words and the pictures.

After that ask questions if you have these things in your flat or don’t have ones.

- Do you have a chair in your flat?

- Yes, I do. No, I don’t.

4. Look at the picture of a flat. We shall train one more structure.

Say what there is in the picture. Use phrases agreements and disagreements.

- There is a table in the bedroom.

- You are mistaken. There is no table in the bedroom.

- There is a fridge in the kitchen.

- You are right. There is a fridge in the kitchen.

5. Let’s dream. What would you like to have in your room?

Use adjectives describing things (big, nice, comfortable, round, square, tall, small).

6. Attention. Look on the screen. Name the missing words. (slide-presentation)

In the city of Rome there is a street

And in that house there is a room

And in that room there is a desk

And in that desk there is a box

And in that box there is a book

And in that book there is letter

7. A game. Relax and make your imagination fly. Show pantomime. Listen to me

attentively and do the actions.

(Sleep, read a book, watch TV, get a letter, read a letter,

do lessons, have breakfast, play with your cat, open the fridge, take some

3. This room isn’t very large. We take a shower or have a bath in this room. You

can clean your teeth, wash your hands and face there.

4. Families get together for the meal in this room. They have breakfast, lunch,

dinner or supper there. There are some chairs and a table in this room.

5. There is a TV set, a wall-unit, some chairs and a sofa in this room. Some people

have a fireplace there. We can see some flowers on the walls. There is often a

carpet on the floor. It is usually the largest room in the house. People watch

television, listen to music, or sit around and speak there.

6. You can see a table, a chair, a bookcase and some shelves on the wall in this

room. There are books and magazines on the shelves. You can read books, do

your homework or write a letter in his room. Your parents can write a report,

read important letters and work there.

7. This room isn’t very large. People take off their overcoats, hats, boots or shoes

there. There is usually a mirror and a little table there.

12. Draw a room of your dream and describe you room using structures:
