Цель урока: обучение чтению с извлечением информации
Задачи: формировать лексические и грамматические навыки говорения
развивать коммуникабельность, умение работать в группе
повышать познавательный интерес к английскому языку, воспитывать чувство ответственности за происходящее
развивать умение извлекать необходимую информацию в тексте
Оснащение урока: мультимедийные средства, дидактические листы-задания, иллюстративный материал по теме, ТСО
Ход урока
1.Организационный момент. Приветствие. Введение в тему урока.
Good morning. The theme of our lesson today is “The Earth’s best friend is you”. Last summer I watched a cartoon “Walli”. People threw so much litter that the Earth was buried under the mountains of rubbish and people had to fly away in outer space. Today we have to answer two questions: Why throw away? Why not recycle?
2. Речевая разминка.
Look at this picture. What is it? Yes, this is a bin.
There are different types of rubbish and people invented different types of bins. What are these bins for? (for glass, paper, cans and plastic)
Are there bins in our school?
Do you try to throw away litter in the bin?
3. Фонетическая зарядка.
[ ] – pack, packaging, packed goods, can, food can
[ ] – throw away, polythene
[ ] – recycle, recyclable, a recycling centre, fine, organize
4. Словообразование.
You know we can form new words with the help of suffixes and prefixes. Now I want you to form new words.
PACK – packaging, packed, unpacked
RECYCLE – recyclable, recycling, recycled,
POLLUTE – pollution, polluted, antipollution
PROTECT – protected, protective, protection
PROHIBIT – prohibition
ECOLOGY – ecologist, ecological
ENVIRONMENT - environmental
Now go to the blackboard and underline the proper word in these word combinations.

5. Этап формирования лексических навыков говорения.
And now imagine that all of you are a headmaster of our school. What would you do if you were a Headmaster of our school?
If I were a Headmaster of our school I would
- organize school ecological police;
- fine pupils for smoking;
- plant more trees in the school park;
- prohibit noise pollution during the break;
- fine children for dropping cans, packaging
- arrange special bins for litter;
- not allow to walk dogs at the school sport ground.
6. Чтение текста с извлечением информации. Проектная групповая деятельность.
Now I want you to divide into two groups to answer the questions:
1. How much does an average European family produce rubbish?
2. Is packaging so necessary?
Класс делится на две группы, читают два разных текста, обсуждают, находят нужную информацию и выписывают ответы на плакат.
7. Защита проектов. Монологическая речь.
8. Подведение итогов урока. Оценки. Домашнее задание.
