Звучит музыка, выходят ангелы, замирают, между ними встают и начинают праздник ведущие.
Вед.1:Dear children and guests! On the 25th of December people celebrate Christmas – a beautiful holiday, which is loved by children and adults;
Вед.2: when everything is decorated with lights and toys;
Вед.3: when we see Christmas trees everywhere;
Вед.1: when people buy presents and cook special food, send cards and have parties!
Вед.2 Вед.3 Вед.1: And we’ll celebrate this holiday now!
(Ведущие уходят, звоня колокольчиками.)
Ангел.1: Why was this holiday named Christmas? Many-many years ago Christ was born. So this was the birthday of Christ. And since that time people began to celebrate his birthday – and named this holiday – Christmas. [cлайд 2]
Ангел.2: It became a good, kind, merry and bright family holiday. Not only small children but people of all age wait for this day. There are many Christmas traditions. People try to keep them for many years and not to forget them. People prepare for Christmas weeks before. It’ a very busy time for families in England.[cлайд 3]
Ангел.3: Christmas is a family holiday. [cлайд 4] . Everybody tries to come home for Christmas to be with their families. [cлайд 5]+ (Jingle Bells-song)
You know that for this day in every house, big and small squares and towns we can see Christmas tree. I think it will be interesting for you to know some more information about this tradition.
Ангел.4: [cлайд 6]Christmas tree became popular in England in 1890. [cлайд 7] It is decorated with Christmas toys and lights. [cлайд 8] People usually have a Christmas tree in the corner of the front room. Look at our tree. It’s beautiful isn’t it? There are a loot of toys and bright lights. On the top there is a angel. [cлайд 9]
Ангел.1: Let’s watch f fairy tale “The Little Fir-Tree”
Story-teller: A little Fir-tree stood among the tall fir-trees of the forest. It was a little tree which wanted something it didn’t have.
Fir-tree: I want different leaves!
Story-teller: The fairy of the forest heard its wish.
Fairy: What kind of leaves do you want?
Fir-tree: Oh, I want leaves of gold.
Story-teller: Next morning the Little Fir-tree was glad to see that all its leaves had turned beautiful gold, but along came a man who picked all the gold leaves and carried them away in a bag.
Fir-tree: Oh, I’m so unhappy! I’m very cold. I have no leaves.
Fairy: What kind of leaves do you want now?
Fir-tree: Oh, I want leaves of glass.
Story-teller: Next morning little Fir-tree had leaves of glass. They looked beautiful. But in the afternoon the wind blew. The glass leaves were all broken. Again the Fir-tree’s branches were bare.
Fir-tree: Oh, I’m so unhappy! There are no leaves on my branches. I feel so cold!
Fairy: What kind of leaves do you want next?
Fir-tree: I want broad green leaves.
Story-teller: Next morning the little Fir-tree was glad to have a dress of large broad leaves. But in the night it was snowing heavily. The branches were broken.
Fir-tree: Oh, so unhappy am I! There are no leaves on my branches. I am so cold!
Fairy: What kind of leaves do you want next?
Fir-tree: I want my own needles again.
Story-teller: The next day the little Fir-tree had its own needles and felt sure that there were no leaves in the world as fine as hers.

Ангел.1: There are many other decorations in these days. [cлайд 10] Most families decorate their houses with holly. [cлайд 11] Children hang stockings near the fireplace. They believe that while they are sleeping, Father Christmas comes to visit them.
Ангел.2: Do you know Father Christmas? [cлайд 12] Father Christmas is a kind old man in red clothes with a big sack of presents. [cлайд 13] He visits children and brings a lot of presents. Children often write letters to him with their wishes. [cлайд 14] He has presents of whatever kind everyone may wish.
Ангел.3: [cлайд 15] Father Christmas delivers presents on Christmas Eve, the night before Christmas, when everybody is sleeping. [cлайд 16] On Christmas Day people open their presents on Christmas morning. [cлайд 17] They all are happy with what they get. [cлайд 18] They often open their presents together and then they go to church.
Ангел.3: [cлайд 19] Father Christmas comes from the North Pole in his sleigh, which are carried by reindeers.
Today we can watch a traditional Christmas cartoon: «Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer».
Ангел.4: [cлайд 20] Another tradition on Christmas day is a traditional Christmas dinner. For Christmas dinner the family eat turkey, potatoes and green vegetables. [cлайд 21] Then they have the Christmas puddings. [cлайд 22] At 5 o’clock it’s time for tea and Christmas cake.
Ангел.1: [cлайд 23] One more English tradition is listening Queen’s speech on TV. After dinner the family gathers in the room to listen to Queen of England on television. The Queen delivers her traditional Christmas message to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
Ангел.2: [cлайд 24] The day after Christmas is Boxing Day. People usually visit their relatives and friends. They give presents, walk out and have a good time together. Londoners usually go to the Trafalgar Square. [cлайд 25] Every year there is a very big Christmas tree in the centre of London. [cлайд 26] This is a present from the people of Norway to the people of Great Britain.
[cлайд 27]They send a Christmas tree to Londoners every year. [cлайд 28] Londoners decorate the Christmas tree. In the evening before Christmas people like to come to Trafalgar Square. . [cлайд 29-30]There are beautiful fireworks in London.
Ангел.3: English children have different Christmas entertainments. Let’s have an English contest – all the tasks will be connected with Christmas. We’ll play games, sing songs and recite poems. So I wish you good luck!
Ангел.4: Let’s start with the traditional Christmas song. “Merry Christmas, everyone!”
Ангел.1: I’ll show you groups of words. In each group there is a word which does not go with others. Find this word, please! . [cлайд 31]
Ангел.2: “Pin the Tail on the Donkey.” Let’s play a little. Here is a Donkey, but it has no tail. Everybody has a chance to pin the tail on the Donkey. It’s not so easy, because you cannot see – you have a scarf over your eyes. The person who puts the tail to the right place is the winner.
Ангел.3: “Pass the Parcel”: here is something wrapped in a lot of the papers. You’ll stand in a circle and pass the parcel to the person next to you. There is music playing. When the music stops, you take off one of the papers. Then music starts again. The person who takes the last piece off wins the prize.
Ангел.4: Now you must in a minute’s time write as many words as possible with the letters of this statement. Take pieces of paper! Take pens, pencils. Be ready. Look at this statement – “Merry Christmas”! Start, please!
Ангел.1: You know that children get presents from the socks or stockings. You must guess what presents are in them. If you are right then you’ll take the presents, who wants to play? (an apple, a candy, nuts, an angel, a candle, a stocking, a wreath, a snowflake etc).
Ангел.4: Here are sweets and flower. You must catch the sweet without using hands in a bowl of flower.

Teacher: So it’s time to finish our party! I think you have spent a good time with us. And now everybody gets presents –chocolate medals.
