Учащиеся должны уметь принимать участие в беседе по поводу прочитанного или прослушанного, соглашаясь или опровергая высказывания собеседника. Реплика может состоять из 2-3 фраз, обеспечивающих аргументированность реакции. Количество реплик на каждого учащегося 10-12.

Аудирование

Учащиеся должны уметь понимать при непосредственном общении и в фонозаписи основное содержание текстов, построенных на устно обработанном материале и содержащих не более 3% незнакомых слов, которые можно самостоятельно понять или обойти. Длина фраз до 8 слов. Длительность звучания - до 2-х минут, при темпе речи, приближающемуся к нормальному.

Чтение

Учащиеся должны читать с полным пониманием всего содержания несложные тексты из научно-популярной и художественной литературы, содержащие до 4% неизученных слов, понимание которых возможно частично на основе догадки, частично при использовании двуязычного словаря. Объем текста - 1 страница.

Учащиеся должны читать с пониманием основного содержания адаптированные тексты научно-популярного и общественно-политического характера, а также несложные отрывки художественных текстов, включающих до 6% неизученных слов. Часть этих слов доступна для понимания на основе контекста, сходства между явлениями в родном и иностранном языках, знания словообразовательных элементов. Часть неизученных слов, не влияющих на раскрытие основного содержания текста, может не приниматься во внимание. Объем текста 1-1.5 страниц.

Письмо

На основе изученного материала предыдущих классов учащиеся приобретают умения написать письмо, сообщения или описания, заполнить анкеты, деловые бумаги. Словарь используется при необходимости.
