Results of Intergas Central Asia Operations in 2013

    In 2013, the total volume of natural gas transmission through the main gas pipelines of JSC Intergas Central Asia (a subsidiary of KazTransGas group of companies) amounted to 94.7 billion m3.

     The total volume of natural gas transportation through the main gas pipelines of Intergas Central Asia, JSC includes 11% (or 10.4 bcm) of domestic transportation, 75% (or 71.2 bcm) of international gas transit, then, 13% (or 12.1 bcm) of natural gas transported for export and 1% (or 1 bcm) of transmission of gas injected for storage into underground gas storages.

   Efficient operation of the main gas transportation network enabled the Company to accomplish the targeted gas transmission volume for the 2013 year period by 100%.

   Intergas Central Asia has been undertaking comprehensive actions for repairs and upgrading of the domestic main gas pipelines networks aimed to ensure reliable international transit of natural gas and more effective use of operated pipeline network assets.

Over the 12 months of 2013, the volume of capital expenditure of Intergas Central Asia financed from internally generated funds totaled to 49 981 million Tenge. In comparison to the same period of 2012, it showed growth for 30% or 11 612 million Tenge. Investments in production development amounted to 48 838 million Tenge or 98% from the total investments of the Company.

Thus, within the 12 months of 2013, the Company paid taxes and other mandatory payments due to the state budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the total amount of 6 853 million Tenge.

The basic principles of Intergas Central Asia’s operations will remain to be the use of new technologies in operation of the facilities of the gas transmission system, while ensuring maximum level of safety, efficiency, reliability and technological excellence, high level of management practice.

Intergas Central Asia was established in July 1997. The Company operates and manages the main gas transmission infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Intergas Central Asia is a subsidiary of KazTransGas, JSC group of companies. Intergas Central Asia operates the main gas transportation network with the total length in excess of 14,000 km and annual throughput capacity up to 190bcm..
