We are pleased to inform you that the Forth International Conference on Actual Problems of Molecular Spectroscopy of Condensed Matter will be held on May 29-31, 2013 at the Samarkand State University (Samarkand, Uzbekistan). The conference is dedicated to the memory of the world famous scientist, doctor of physical-mathematical sciences, professor, Abu Rayhan Beruny state prize laureate, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. K. Atakhodzhaev.

The Conference is planned to cover issues of molecular spectroscopy on the following problems:

1. Spectroscopy of intermolecular interactions and thermal motion of molecules in condensed matter. Hydrogen bond and other types of molecular aggregation.

2. Interaction of laser radiation with matter. Nonlinear phenomena. Acoustic spectroscopy. Relaxation processes.

3. Electronic spectra, optical and photoelectric properties of solids.

4. Molecular spectroscopy and its applications.

Official languages of the Conference are Russian and English.

Type of presentation is oral.

Abstract preparation rules:

Abstracts can be submitted electronically or in printed form. Abstract’s text (single spaced, Times New Roman 14, usual style) must not exceed one full page of A4 format (210×297). Margins: 25 mm (top, bottom), 30 mm (left), and 15 mm (right).

Title of abstract must be typed with bold capital letters. Authors, affiliation, and e-mail must be typed with small letters. Name of presenting person must be underlined. Abstract text must be aligned by width. Pictures (not more than one) must appear in the text of abstract.

File with abstract must be named by family name and initials of first author (in Latin letters), for example, Hushvaktov X. A.

Electronic version of materials must be prepared in Microsoft Word 2003 format (with *.doc or *.rtf file extension).

Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts, which do not satisfy topics of the Conference or preparation requirements. All authors will be notified electronically about the results of consideration of their abstracts. Accepted abstracts will appear on the Conference home page www. samdu. uz after May 1, 2013.

Letters of Invitation will be sent to all participants of the Conference.
