1. Investment potential of Lida region

Investments in Lida city and Lida region economy are attractive for world countries business.

There is a legislative base in investment sphere that gives foreign partners an opportunity to work in Belarus successfully, provide equal conditions for business and fully protect commerce interests of investors.

Among 395 enterprises working in the territory of Lida region 42 have foreign capital.

Workforce capacity of the region gives an opportunity to cover requirements of any future production in specialists and workers.

There is technical college in the city and 3 specialized schools for industrial personnel training in metal, woodworking, mechanic engineering, optics, glass melting, auto service, ect.

Lida region is situated on the crossroads of the most important highways, railways and airlines.

Station Lida of Belarusian railway will carry out transport of goods in internal republican, international, direct and combined communications, offer efficient variant of goods transportation.

There is an airport in the territory of the region that has a possibility to accommodate heavy-duty airplanes.

Advantageous geographical position and developed industrial infrastructure of Lida region are the most attractive economically, for investments.

That’s why today already foreign investors take interest in vacant working areas in the territory of Lida region for new plants construction.

Enterprise for keramzite gravel production was sold to Latvian company.

Production buildings of RUE “Plant “Izotron” were bought by company with Latvian capital.

Production facilities of JSC “Lidatransavto” were appropriated by Latvian-German company.

Garment manufacture of Lithuanian investors is accommodated in production facilities of JSC “Lida footwear factory”.

In case of concernment investor have an opportunity to rent or to take possession of vacant working areas, to construct new buildings.

There are attractive conditions for automobile plant construction in the territory of Lida city with working efficiency of 20-30 thousands motors a year. Possible cofounder of the enterprise will be Pilot plant “Neman” that has necessary manufacturing capabilities, vacant spaces and trained personnel for organization of assembling light vehicle production.

Economically sound are the investments in housing construction and production of building materials. For satisfaction of wants in housing that exists today in Lida region it is necessary to construct at least then 340,0 thousand m2 of houses. That is why the perspective is the idea of establishing joined homebuilding enterprise with organization of H-tech building materials production.

Huge potential for investments has a sphere of tourism, especially development of ecotourism on the basis of horse farm in Dvorisze country.

The actual projects may be: construction of Aqua Park, private hotel, organization of roadside service. There is a necessity in reconstruction of historical landmark of XIV century “Castel of Lida city and further its usage as tourist, cultural center.

The building land for construction of construction of sport structures in Lida city is provided for free.
