1) Production and product availability:

V & D has been growing, exporting and wholesaling in the local market for 20 years, more than any other Export Company in the region. We are growers and the biggest trader of malanga coco (Taro / Dasheen) in the Dominican Republic, this fact alone lets us offer you the best price available in the country for this product.

Our deep knowledge of the local market, from the plantation level to the big markets in the country enables us to supply the biggest variety and the best quality to our clients.

83% of our suppliers have been trading with us for 15 years or more.

2) Flexibility:

We are very flexible to help our clients achieve their goals in changing markets. In 1995, we were the first exporter peeling the malanga coco for the USA market.

3) Technology:

In the year 2000, V & D became the first exporter of agricultural products to implement a modular production system in the country, working all the products over workstations, instead of the floor as some exporters continue to do at the present.

This change derived in more cleanliness and quality for the finished products. At the same time, we bought digital cameras to be able to send pictures and videos of products and processes to our clients abroad in a few seconds.

V & D owns all the vehicles that we use to transport the fruits and vegetables from the plantation to the port. This competitive advantage guarantees the gathering of the crops and the shipping always on time, ending fresher and cheaper at our clients’ warehouses.

5) Geographical Position:

We are located at kilometer 14, Autopista Duarte, main road of the country, which communicates the capital with Santiago, the second City. We are at only 15 minutes from Santiago International Airport and for 20 years operating, we have never had a delay due to strikes or political reasons.

The Cibao region where we are located is the biggest producer of fruits and vegetables in the country. Approximately 90% of all the products we export grow at 50 miles or less from us.

We have a property of 27 acres, 85% available for new workstations or processing plants for our clients.

Once we assume a compromise and guarantee a price for a given period of time, it does not matter what occurs with the dollar exchange rate or any other factor, the price and quality are always guaranteed.

Likewise, as far as we know, we are the only exporter applying automatic discounts when the exchange rate benefits the customer.

V & D does not hire minors and the Haitian immigrants working with us receive the same treatment and salary as the Dominican workers.
