Ми благословляємо нашому духовенству 8-го грудня і в наступні неділі, поки відбувається Євромайдан, під час св. Літургії на Благальній єктенії після прохання “Ще молимося за змилування, життя, спокій...” додати слідуюче прохання:
“Ще молимося за братів і сестер наших в Україні, які в цей час великих випробувань зазнають погрози, пониження і побої. Захисти їх і даруй їм любов, єдність, злагоду і перемогу над ворогами, щоб запанував лад свободи, правди і справедливости”.
Після св. Літургії священик повинен в свойому слові звернути увагу вірним, що таке прохання було вставлене в єктенію і чому.

Молимось за спокій душі бл. п. Івана Івановича Кочерги, який заснув у Господі 9-го ц. м. у віці 82 літ і залишив у смутку, між іншими, дружину Людмилу, синів Володимира й Віктора та внука Матвія. Похоронні Відправи відбулися з Катедри Св. Софії 14-го ц. м. Покійному – Царство Небесне і вічна пам’ять, а родині та друзям – співчуття!

«Прогрішився я, тату, проти неба та супроти тебе... Недостойний я вже зватись сином твоїм; прийми ж мене, як одного з своїх наймитів...» (Луки 15:18-19). «Коли він далеко ще був, його батько вгледів його, і переповнився жалем: і побіг він, і кинувсь на шию йому, і зачав цілувати його!» Ось так чинить батько у Притчі Ісусовій про загубленого сина. Він не чекає, щоб син до нього дійшов, щоб розказати йому про те, чого він прийшов, та щоб таким чином мати перевагу над ним: сказати йому заходити або піти собі геть. Він побіг до нього. Не було жодного сумніву в тому, що саме скаже він синові. Він привітав свого загубленого сина обіймами. Цією притчею Господь дає нам зворушливий приклад милості Божої. Він представляє образ Бога надзвичайно привабливий, не так, як Його представляють інші релігійні провідники. Він Бога зображує, як Батька - як співчутливого й милуючого Тата. Це представлення дає нам особливу спонуку вірити в Бога і намагатися жити згідно з Його заповідями. Господь цим навчає нас, що закон всесвіту – закон любові. Не закон виживання найспроможніших. І цей же закон ми бачимо в подіях у світі, але Апостол Павло називає його «марнотою», якій сотворіння мусить покорятися - але ж «у надії» на те краще, досконаліше, що таки має настати (Римлян 8:20). Глибший закон, який є підставою всіх інших – закон любові, яку представляє ця притча про загубленого сина. Цей закон також описує Ап. Павло в Першому Посланні до Коринтян у 13-му розділі. Ми повинні перечитувати цей розділ багато-багато разів. «Любов… не шукає тільки свого», пише Павло (І Коринтян 13:5). Любов ні до чого не змушує. Тато в притчі не бажав маніпулювати чи примушувати свого сина. Тому й дав своєму синові його ж пайку з того, що мав би був він успадкувати, і таки дозволив йому покинути дім. А коли син повернувся до дому, то це було не тому, що батько його примусив до цього. Те що заставило його повернутися – це досвід життя під владою закону марноти, та й спомин про те, як йому колись жилося в батьковім домі. Він повернувся до дому і тоді радісно пізнав сторону батька, про яку, як видно, він наче б то чомусь був не знав. Він знайшов, що то не тільки з обов’язку батько діяв, так як він діяв. Ні, спонукою до цього була любов до свого сина! Тайна Божої любові дійсно радісна й глибока. Не так аж легко в неї повірити, тому що закон марноти таки ж сильно діє в світі. Закон джунґля, закон про те, що «сила дає права» вимагає, щоб ми його слухали і йому підкорялись. Але Християни покликані бути відмінними від інших. Вони покликані вірити в закон любові і жити згідно з ним, хоча б це й виглядало ніби то марним зусиллям. Так жити можемо ми, черпаючи силу з особистого досвіду тієї глибокої божественної Любові, яка є основою і яка невидимо, але вільно, пливе почерез усю вселенну. Посвятімо себе віднайти цю любов підчас Посту. Над цим роздумуймо, постімось, вірьмо, молімось і діймо – в любові та в милосердю.

The Sunday of the Prodigal Son «Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son» (Luke 15:18-19). "While he was yet at a distance, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him". This is what the father does in Jesus' Parable of the Lost Son. He does not wait for his son to get to him to tell him what he wants, so that he would then have the advantage over him: to tell him to come on in, or to leave. He ran to him. There was no doubt about what he would tell his son to do. He welcomed his lost son with open arms. In this parable Jesus shows us a striking example of God's compassion. He paints an exceedingly attractive picture of God, quite unlike that painted by other religious leaders. He shows God to be a Parent - a compassionate and loving Father! This picture gives us a special reason to believe in God and to strive to live in conformity with His laws. Jesus thus teaches us that the code of the universe is the code of love. It is not the code of the survival of the fittest. That code does appear to operate in the world, but St. Paul referred to it as the "futility" to which creation has indeed been subjected - but "in hope" of that better, perfect thing which is to come (Romans 8:20). This deeper code, which underlies all others, is the code of love, which is portrayed in this parable of the lost son. This code is described also described in I Corinthians chapter 13. We ought to read it many times over. "Love does not insist on its own way", writes Paul (I Corinthians 13:5). There is no constraint in love. The father of the parable did not wish to manipulate or coerce his son. That is why he gave his son his portion of what he stood to inherit and let him leave his house. When the son returned home, it was not because his father forced him to do so. What brought him back was the experience of living according to the code of futility and the memory of what it was like to live in his father's home. He returned home and when he did, he made the glorious discovery of an aspect of his father of which he seemed to have been unaware. He found that it was not merely parental obligation that motivated his father to act as he did. It was his love for his son! The mystery of God's love is joyous and profound. It is not easy to believe in it, for the code of futility is very powerful in the world. The law of the jungle, of "might makes right" seems to demand that we hear and obey. But Christians are called to be radical. They are called to believe in the code of love and live it, even though this sometimes appears to be futile. We can do this by deriving strength from our experience of that profound divine love underpinning and coursing invisibly through the universe. Let us dedicate ourselves to the discovery of this love during Lent. To this end let us meditate, fast, pray and act - in love and compassion. | Le Dimanche du Fils Prodigue

Je ne mérite plus d'être considéré comme ton fils.» (Luc 15:18-19) «Comme il se trouvait encore à une bonne distance de la maison, son père l'aperçut et fut pris d'une profonde pitié pour lui. Il courut à la rencontre de son fils, se jeta à son cou et l'embrassa longuement.». C'est ce que fait le père dans la Parabole de Jésus du Fils Perdu. Il n'attend pas que son fils se rendre à lui pour lui dire ce qu'il veut, de sorte qu'il aurait alors l'avantage sur lui: pour lui dire de venir ou de partir. Il courut à lui. Il n'y avait pas de doute sur ce qu'il allait dire à son fils de faire. Il a reçu son fils perdu avec les bras ouverts. Dans cette parabole, Jésus nous montre un exemple frappant de la compassion de Dieu. Il brosse un tableau très attractif de Dieu, contrairement à celui peint par d'autres chefs religieux. Il montre que Dieu est un parent - un Père compatissant et aimant! Cette image nous donne une spéciale raison de croire en Dieu et à nous efforcer de vivre en conformité avec Ses lois. Jésus enseigne donc que le code de l'univers est le code de l'amour. Ce n'est pas le code de la survie du plus apte. Il est vrai que ce code semble fonctionner dans le monde, mais Saint Paul en fait référence comme la «vanité» à laquelle la création a été soumise -, mais «avec espérance» pour quelque chose de meilleure, parfaite qui est à venir (Romains 8:20). Ce code plus profond qui sous-tend tous les autres est le code de l'amour, qui est dépeint dans cette parabole du fils perdu. Ce code est également décrit dans I Corinthiens chapitre 13. Nous devons le lire à plusieurs reprises. L'amour «ne cherche point son intérêt», écrit Paul (I Corinthiens 13:5). Il n'y a pas de contrainte dans l'amour. Le père de la parabole ne voulait pas manipuler ou de contraindre son fils. C'est pourquoi il a donné à son fils de sa partie de ce qu'il devrait hériter et l’a permis sortir de sa maison. Quand le fils rentra chez lui, ce n'était pas parce que son père l'a obligé à le faire. Que le ramena a été l'expérience de la vie selon le code de la vanité et le souvenir de ce que c'était de vivre dans la maison de son père. Il rentra chez lui et quand il le faisait, il a fait la découverte d'un aspect glorieux de son père dont il semblait avoir ignoré. Il a constaté que ce n'était pas simple obligation parentale qui a motivé son père à agir comme il l'a fait. C'était son amour pour son fils! Le mystère de l'amour de Dieu est joyeux et profond. Il n'est pas facile d'y croire, car le code de la vanité est très puissant dans le monde. La loi de la jungle, de «la force qui fait le droit» semble exiger que nous l’écoutions et l’obéissions. Mais les chrétiens sont appelés à être radicaux. Ils sont appelés à croire dans le code de l'amour et de la vivre, même si cela semble parfois être futile. Nous pouvons le faire en dérivant la force de notre expérience de cet amour profond qui sous-tend divine et invisible courre à travers l'univers. Consacrons-nous à la découverte de cet amour pendant le Carême. À cette fin, méditons, jeunons, prions et agissons - dans l'amour et la compassion.
