Тестовая работа включает 3 содержательных блока, которые представлены в таблице:

Структура работы
Работа состоит из 3 частей: «А», «Б», «С».
Часть «А» включает задания базового уровня на соотнесение текстов с названиями, и задания, в которых надо выбрать один из предложенных вариантов ответа.
Часть «В» включает задания повышенного уровня, в которых нужно выбрать один ответ из предложенных, и образовать слова от данных.
Часть «С» включает задание творческого характера, предполагающего развернутый ответ.
Блок 1 включает задания Части A, B,C.
Блок 2 включает задания Части А, В.
Блок 3 включает задания

Блок I – Часть «А» - содержит 6 заданий, в которых нужно соотнести названия и тексты. Одно название лишнее.

A. It’s a long-distance race. That’s the distance from Windsor Castle to the White City Stadium in London. It’s 42.195 kilometers. They have run marathons since 1896. People have run London Marathon since 1981. People often run marathons in their spare time.
B. I like animals and I have two pets. I care of them. I feed and walk them, play with them and tale them to the vet. Besides, I like watching TV and my favourite programmes are about animals. I also like playing computer games and walking with my fri8ends. Sometimes I read and my favourite books are about adventures.
C. British skiing brothers Graham and Martin Bell are the best skiers. They started skiing very young. Their parents helped them and paid for their trips to the Alps. They trained a lot and they became champions.
D. Thanksgiving day is always on the 4th of November. People work a lot before this day. Dad usually buys the turkey. Mum stuffs the bird with herbs and bread. Then she roasts it. We celebrate Thanksgiving in the family circle. First, we go to the church. Then we have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
E. The Lake District is in the north-west of England. There are a lot of beautiful lakes. People can swim or go fishing there. Tourists like walking in the hills in the Lake District. Canterbury is not big, but it’s one of the most famous cities in Britain. There’s one of the most interesting museums in the world.

A. In 1492 the King and the Queen of Spain gave Christopher Columbus money and he went to India. He decided to sail west as he was sure that our planet was round. Soon he reached some land. He thought that it must be India. But it was not. So, he discovered America.
B. New York is one of the largest cities in the USA. It is situated near the Hudson River. New York has always been in the center of political events. You can see Manhattan, the Bronx, Long Island and Richmond there. America’s business and culture are in Manhattan. The Empire State Building, the World Trade Center, Times Square, Broadway are the world famous sights.
C. America can be proud of many people. For example, the Wright brothers created the first airplane, Alexander Bell invented the telephone. James Smithson, a British scientist, established a special fund to support talented people.
D. Hot dogs were brought to America from Germany. They were called “frankfurters”. The name “Hot dogs” was invented by Ted Dorgan, a sports cartoonist. It was in 1906. Americans like these grilled sausages on warmed rolls very much.
E. Halloween is celebrated on the 31 of October. It is mainly a children’s holiday. Children wear ghost costumes and false faces. They go from door to door, ring the bell and shout “Trick or treat?” If the children don’t get any treat – chocolates, candies, fruit, small coins – they are ready to play tricks.
