There are some paintings of Heywood Hardy. I took a photo of one of his paintings “The Gamekeepers Daughter”. It’s a beautiful painting. So realistic and the colors are so natural.
You may know that Heywood Hardy was a painter and etcher of
animals, portraits genre and sporting subjects. So this painting is also with animals, horses and dogs.
The sense of this painting is that two horsemen are lost in the forest and ask for a help from gamekeepers daughters. The daughter of gamekeeper is a young lady in a simple dress standing with two dogs. The horsemen are young man and woman maybe they are a couple.
In appearance they are quite intelligent and rich, according to their clothes. They are standing in front of gamekeeper’s house and she is explaining the way.
Task 6: Today a person meets an advertisement on stands about 10-15 times a day: on the way to school or work, to the shop, returning home, walking and etc. Is advertisement a necessity of the modern world? Express your opinion - 150 words. (18 points)
Advertisement is a public notice, as a printed display in a newspaper, short film on television, announcement on radio, designed to sell goods. The main aim of advertisement is to attract people’s attention and make them buy this or that product. Of course, there are negative and positive sights of advertisements.
I think, the positive one is that advertisement tells us about new items, promotions, sales that may be good for our lives. Also, some advertisements are really interesting and fun, so they can lift your mood.
The negative one is that on the television there are many advertisements, so the people’s brain is full of unnecessary information. Furthermore, advertisements between the two parts of the film, the program can go up to an hour, so that a person will be really nervous.
To sum up, in my opinion, advertisement is a necessity of the modern world. While walking, returning home, stay in a traffic jam, we can get some useful information instead of wasting our time.
