XVII международный фестиваль современного танца

В период с 30 июня по 9 июля 2015 года XVII Международный летний фестиваль современного танца OPEN LOOK в Санкт-Петербурге вновь соберет на Новой сцене Александринского театра и основной сцене БДТ им. Товстоногова лучших из лучших. Фестиваль OPEN LOOK, основанный в 1999 году, прошел большой путь становления от летней танцевальной школы до самого ожидаемого танцевального события культурной столицы России. Организаторы фестиваля - Дом танца «Каннон Данс» - ежегодно представляют петербургскому зрителю мировые тренды в современном танце и в смежных дисциплинах – визуальном театре, перформансе, кинотанце, мультимедиа.
Хедлайнер фестиваля Нидерландский театр танца (NDT II) – один из самых высококлассных репертуарных и исполнительских театров современного танца, визитная карточка Нидерландов, – даст два представления 1 и 2 июля на основной сцене БДТ им. Товстоногова. Программа каждого выступления включает в себя три постановки. Среди них – работа знаменитого хореографического дуэта Пола Лайтфута и Соль Леон под названием Печальный случай / Sad Case, постановка Кактусы / Cacti в хореографии Александра Экмана и одна из последних работа Йохана Ингера I New Then.
Основной площадкой фестиваля в этом году вновь станет Новая сцена Александринского театра, которая уже во второй раз на две недели превратится в фестивальный дом, пространства которого наполнят проекты фестиваля OPEN LOOK: программа спектаклей от лучших танцевальных компаний и хореографов со всего мира, мультимедийная галерея Open Photo & Video Look, site-specific преформансы и лаборатория Open Look P. S., а также множество новых сюрпризов, которые фестиваль приготовил для своего зрителя в этом году.
Вечер открытия 30 июня предложит программу из премьерных работ молодых хореографов - педагогов фестиваля: виртуозные исполнители современного танца приехали из Швеции, Великобритании, Нидерландов, Аргентины, Канады и Японии. В программе вечера будут представлены две новые постановки в хореографии Юри Дуббе (Нидерланды, Korzo Production) - трио Кицунэ / Kitsune и соло Младенец / Infant, а также мировая премьера дуэта Границы Зависимости / State of Dependence в хореографии Грэхэма Эйди (Швеция, Великобритания).
Иностранные гости фестиваля – компании из Германии, Израиля, Италии, Японии, Финляндии, Южной Кореи. Помимо премьерных работ на открытии фестиваля, Open Look представляет ряд мировых премьер в рамках основной програмы – моноспектакль итальянской компании Teatropersona Вечерняя Тень / Evening Shadow и последнюю работу восходящих звезд израильского современного танца Ensemble Gil Carlos Harush & Family Любим. Чик / Perfect. Pet. Премьеры дуэтов молодых шведских хореографов из компании GöteborgsOperans Danskompani можно будет увидеть в рамках вечера Scandinavian Wave. Также зрителя ждет несколько показов камерного дуэта Salt (Япония, Израиль) и мультимедийных спектаклей Ничего в течение 60 мин / Nothing for 60 min(Южная Корея, Германия) и Hatched (Финляндия).
В завершающий вечер программы World Look и, одновременно, первый вечер программы Russian Look можно будет увидеть результат сотрудничества петербургских артистов с иностранным мастером – проект от танцевальной компаниии Дома танца «Каннон Данс» и шведского хореографа британского происхождения Грэхэма Эйди.
Продолжит фестивальную программу Национальная платформа современного танца и театра Russian Look, недавно ставшая отдельной яркой линией фестиваля, которая уже не первый год дает возможность российским хореографам представить свои работы профессиональному сообществу, экспертам российских и западных фестивалей, а зрителю – познакомиться с современным танцем и театром, а также новыми и уже хорошо известными именами из различных регионов России. Платформа пройдет с 7 по 8 июля, вечерняя программа будет сопровождаться мастер-классами от российских педагогов, работающих и стажирующихся в западных танцевальных компаниях.
Завершат фестивальную программу 9 июля на учебной сцене Александринского театра показы танцевальной лаборатории Open Look P. S. под руководством западных хореографов.
В рамках основной программы фестиваля с 1 по 5 июля профессиональное сообщество ждут интенсивные мастер-классы от ведущих педагогов Европы и США по различным техникам современного танца и физического театра, таким как contemporary, партнеринг, contemporary jazz, импровизация и др.; а также дискуссии с зарубежными педагогами, круглые столы, совместные проекты с приглашенными хореографами и танцевальными компаниями. В программе примут участие как зарекомендовавшие себя педагоги предыдущих фестивалей, так и новые для России имена, которые уже успели покорить мир. Образовательная программа OPEN LOOK XVII будет особенно насыщенной благодаря специальной серии танцевальных лабораторий в течение всего образовательного блока, где у студентов разного возраста и уровня подготовки будет возможность не только познакомиться с различными авторскими техниками мастеров современного танца, но и принять участие в хореографических миниатюрах, которые будут представлены на Новой сцене Александринского театра в рамках вечерней фестивальной программы. Образовательный блок по традиции завершиться лабораторией Open Look P. S., на этот раз представляющей школу шведского современного танца, а также специальной программой мастерских Russian Look от российских педагогах, работающих в зарубежных танцевальных компаниях.
Помимо насыщенной образовательной и театральной программы, организаторы фестиваля планируют «выйти в город», устраивая специальные открытые мероприятия для всей семьи - в парках, на открытых сценах, городских площадях и просто на улицах города. Этим летом современный танец станет еще ближе каждому жителю и гостю города!

XVII St. Petersburg International Dance Festival

From July 30 to July 9, 2015 XVII International St. Petersburg Dance Festival OPEN LOOK will traditionally gather the most prominent representatives of contemporary dance from all over the world at the New Stage of Alexandrinsky theatre and the Main stage of Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre. OPEN LOOK festival, launched in 1999, has made a long way of establishment from a summer dance school to the most anticipated dance event of the cultural capital of Russia. The festival organizers – Dance House ‘Kannon Dance’ – annually present the world’s trends in contemporary dance and the related disciplines – performance, dance on camera, multimedia, etc.
Festival headliner Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT2), one of the most high-performing repertory and contemporary dance companies and the hallmark of Holland, will present two evenings on July 1 and 2 at the Main stage of Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre. The program of each evening includes 3 pieces – among them there is Sad Case by the famous choreographic duo Paul Lightfoot and Sol León, Cacti choreographed by Alexander Ekman and one of the latest creations by Johan Inger I Knew Then.
The New Stage of Alexandrinsky theatre has been preliminary chosen as the main venue of the festival this year, that will for the second time become the festival home for two weeks, where all its rooms will be filled with OPEN LOOK projects: the evening program of dance performances from the outstanding dance companies and choreographers from all over the world, the festival opening night with the Gala performance by individual choreographers, multimedia dance gallery in the theatre foyer, dance laboratory Open Look P. S., and many other new surprises that are awaiting its audience this year.
The Opening Night on June 30 will offer the festival audience an evening of world and national premiere performances by young foreign choreographers and festival dance teachers: virtuoso performers of modern dance came from Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Argentina, Canada and Japan. The evening will feature two new productions choreographed by Joeri Alexander Dubbe (the Netherlands, Korzo Production) – trio Kitsune and solo Infant, as well as the world premiere of the duo State of Dependence by choreographer Graham Adey (Sweden, UK).
International festival guests are the companies from Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Finland, South Korea and the Netherlands. In addition to the premiere works at the festival opening night, Open Look presents a series of world premieres within the main program - solo performance of the Italian company Teatropersona The Evening Shadow and latest work by the rising stars of the Israeli contemporary dance scene Ensemble Gil Carlos Harush & Family with Perfect. Pet. The spectators can also enjoy an extravagant performance anderland by the German company cie. toula limnaios in the middle of the international performance program. Premieres of the duos by the young Swedish choreographers from the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani can be seen as a part of Scandinavian Wave evening. Apart from that the audience is also to see several shows of the duo Salt (Japan, Israel) and multimedia performances Nothing for 60 min (South Korea, Germany) and Hatched (Finland).
On the final night of the World Look program and at the same time the opening night of Russian Look the festival guests will see the result of the collaboration between St. Petersburg dancers and a foreign choreographer – Kannon Dance House project by Swedish choreographer of the British origin Graham Adey.
Another important section of the festival is National contemporary dance and theatre platform Russian Look, that became a separate bright part of the festival not long ago, and for a couple of years already has given an opportunity to Russian choreographers to present their works to the professional dance community, experts of Russian and foreign festivals, and a great chance to the audience to get acquainted with the Russian contemporary dance and the new names from different regions of Russia. The platform will take place on July 6-9 along with the workshops from Russian contemporary dance teachers.
The program will be finished on June 9 at the New stage of Alexandrinsky theatre with the presentation of works-in-progress done as a part of Open Look P. S. and Russian Look laboratories by Russian and foreign choreographers.
Within the main festival program from July 1 to July 5 the professional community can enjoy the workshops from the leading teachers from Europe and the USA in various techniques of contemporary dance and physical theatre, such as contemporary, partnering, contemporary jazz, Martha Graham technique, improvisation with voice and movement, flying low technique, etc., as well conferences and joint projects with foreign teachers, choreographers and dance companies. The program will invite the teachers, who have already become popular with the students throughout the previous festival editions, as well as open the new prominent names to the Russian audience. The educational OPEN LOOK XVII program will be especially rich due to the special series of dance laboratories, where students of different age and levels will have a chance not only to learn the new authoring contemporary dance techniques, but to take part in the dance pieces, that are going to be presented on the New stage of Alexandrinsky theatre within the evening performance program.
Apart from the educational and theatre program, the festival organizers are planning to ‘go outside’ the buildings this year, making special open events for the whole families in the parks, at the open stages, squares and just the streets of the city. This summer contemporary dance will get even closer to each citizen and guest of St. Petersburg!
