Objectives:

·  To learn new words.

·  To practise using new vocabulary.

Lesson activities

1.  WARMING UP

Before beginning our lesson:

Students A wave your hands to all students in your team and smile.

Students B wish “Good luck” to all students in your team.

T.: How are you today?

S.: (Students show “double thumbs”) We are fine!

T.: Are you ready for the lesson?

S.: (Students show “pump up”) Yes, we are!

Our topic today is Shakespeare’s Land and we are continuing our visit to England, Great Britain. But at first, let’s revise:

What do we know about the UK?

Possible answers: The capital of the UK is London.

The Queen of the UK is Elizabeth II.

The UK consists of 4 countries.

The main cities are: London, Oxford, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast, Liverpool…

The most important building is Buckingham Palace.

There are ten royal parks in and around London.

London Zoo is in Regent’s Park.

The Stonehenge is in England.

Ex.10, p.8 – read and guess the words, translate the sentences into Russian.
