Мероприятие «Happy Halloween”

Цель мероприятия: активизация лексики и грамматики.

Задача мероприятия: заинтересовать учащихся в изучении английского языка, как средства знакомства с традициями англоязычных стран.

Оформление: рисунки тыкв, тыква, свечи, оборудование для игр «the Duckling for apples», яблоки, «The Witch Cauldron», листочки с судьбами, таблички «Fortune» с названиями героев Halloween, «The Ghost Game», рисунки со скелетами «Draw a skeleton».

Ход мероприятия

Today is the 31st of October and we are here to celebrate it. Join us and try not to be afraid of witches, skeletons, wizards, vampires, ghosts.

This the night of Halloween

When all witches might be seen;

Some of them black, some of them green;

Some of them like a turkey bean.

Halloween comes from Ireland and Scotland. It is the last night in October. People usually wear masks of witches and wizards. One of the symbols is a lantern made from pumpkin. Usually it is a big orange or yellow pumpkin with eyes cut out, a nose, a mouth and a candle is put inside.

People sit in a circle and tell ghost stories. On October 31st many people like to have parties. They dress up as witches, ghosts, goblins, monsters, devils, vampires, werewolves or anything else like Frankenstein, Batman, Spiderman or other characters they are fond of. Boys and girls take pumpkins and bags and go along the streets, knock at the doors of the houses. They ask a traditional question «trick or treat». People give them treats such as apples, some pieces of pie, sweets. If they don’t, children play a trick on them.

The moon is full and bright

What can’t be on any other night

Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls

Grinning goblins fighting duels,

Игра «Draw a skeleton». Дети с закрытыми глазами заканчивают рисунок скелета. Look the night is over. The ghosts and witches are running away. We had a lot of fun and now we say good-bye till the next Halloween.
