- обучение рецептивным видам речевой деятельности;
- формирование способности участвовать в непосредственном и опосредованном диалоге культур;
- формирование и развитие коммуникативных умений учащихся на основе языковых, лингвострановедческих и социокультурных знаний, навыков: умения воспринимать на слух и понимать краткие сообщения, умения письменно оформлять несложную информацию;
- интеллектуальное развитие учащихся, формирование логического мышления;
- развитие языковых, интеллектуальных и познавательных способностей, ценностных ориентаций, чувств и эмоций школьника, готовность к коммуникации;
- формирование у учащихся уважения и интереса к культуре и народу страны изучаемого языка;
- воспитание культуры общения;
- воспитание интереса к учению и формирование познавательной активности;
1. Match the following pairs of words with their definitions
Atmosphere / gravity
Attract/ encourage
Freeze/melt
Temperature/ heat
the force that makes things fall to the ground to make something move nearer to something else to become very cold and turn to ice the measurement of how hot or cold it is the air around planet Earth to provide conditions to help something happen to change from a solid substance to a liquid the state of being hot2. Read the following questions and complete the answers.
Q: When does water turn to ice?
A: Water ( freeze)…….. when the ( temperature) ….. falls below zero.
Q: Why do objects fall to the ground?
A: If you drop an object, it falls to the ground because of (gravity)….. which is the force that (attract)……things towards the earth.
3. Read the following sentences. Are they true or false? If they are false correct the information.
1. If you drop a stone, it floats in the air ( F)- it falls to the ground
If you let go of a balloon, it falls to the ground ( F)- it floats in the air If you drop a small stick into a river, it sinks ( F)- it floats If you drop a stone into a river, it floats ( F)- it sinks If it rains when the sun shines, you sometimes see a rainbow ( T) If you boil water, it turns to ice ( F)- it turns to steam If you freeze water, , it turns to steam ( F)- it turns to ice If its dark, its harder to see things (T)4. I am sure that everybody knows something about electricity and it’s time to show your knowledge.
Go on the examples:
Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы по-английски. Ученик-переводчик переводит ответы учителю физики. С помощью слайда учитель физики представляет закон Кулона.
5. Practice work in groups:
Group № 1
Make light bend in water!
If you put in straw in a glass of water, it appears to bend in the middle.
Why does it happen?
Because….
a) rays of light change direction when they enter water
b) the straw bends when it reached the bottom of the glass
c) the water is too cold for the straw
Group № 2
Make balls bounce higher!
If you place a small ball on top of a large ball and drop them, the small ball bounces really high-much if you drop it by itself
Why does it happen?
Because….
a) the smaller ball falls farther
b) the energy from the bigger ball transfers to the smaller ball, which makes it bounce twice as high
c) two balls bounce higher than one ball
Group № 3
Make fog in a jar
You need a jar, some hot water, strainer and some ise cubes
This is what you do:
Fill the jar with hot water. Make sure the jar feels warm Pour out most of the water. Leave about two centimeters of water in the jar Place the strainer over the neck of the jar, and put some ice cubes in it See the fog!Why does it happen?
Because….
a) there is always fog if you put ice cubes in a bottle
b) the water starts to get cold
c) The air in the jar is moist and warm. The cold air from the ise cubes causes condensation, and you see fog
Group № 4
Make a rainbow on the floor!
You need a glass of water, a sheet of white paper and a sunny day!
This is what you do:
Fill the glass almost to the top with water Place the glass CAREFULLY half on and half off the edge of a table? Witg the sun shining directly through the water onto a sheet of white paper on the floor Move the paper and the glass until a rainbow forms on the paperWhy does it happen?
Because….
(Light consist of many colors. If it passes through water it broken up into the colors of the rainbow.)

The first important electricity law was formulated by Kulon, an English physicist, in 1875, and followed the galvanic cells discovery. In its formulation, the law of Coulomb reminds the law of gravity which states that the force of interaction among macroscopic charged solids is directly proportional to the square of the distance between them and inversely proportional product of their charges.
It should be recollected that all those investigations happened in that remote time when the majority of physicists had rather vague ideas of the tree types of electricity: they are glass, resin and amber.
Nowadays we are well-aware of the fact in any metallic conductor only positively charged particles can transfer electric current. According to Franklin’s supposition, a positive charge can be formed in a space containing more electrons that usually, under electrically neutral atomic state.
Everything new attracted irrepressibly! A dazzling lightning is a powerful currency of electrons, protons, neutrons and other elementary particles.
Electricity has been getting down from the sky!
So the tasks of our lesson have been solved. You have known much about ---- made some experiments. And I ask you to tell you a few words what this lesson has given to you.
1): It was not very easy for me at this lesson. But now I think I’ll pay more attention to English and Physics.
2): I understand now that I need English in my future education. I am going to enter some technical university and I have to know technical vocabulary.
(Ученик 3): It was interesting and rather difficult to ме. I hope that such lessons are useful for us, because my favorite lessons are English and Physics.
4): I know that the profession of engineer will be very popular soon. That’s why I have to know Physics and English better to use the knowledge in my future education.
