Teacher: Hello, everybody! I am very glad to see you. Take your seats.
Today we go on speaking about the meaning of clothes and fashion in our lives. (слайд №1)

Teacher: But first I want to know your attitude to clothes. Answer my questions. (слайд №2)

Teacher: That is your opinion. And now Mark is explaining his attitude to clothes. Look at the pictures and try to guess which four groups of people Mark is talking about. (p. 56-57 ex. 2).

Teacher: Read the text in your books and match the pictures with the names of the groups. Explain your choices with the facts from the text.
Teacher: What are the groups of people described in the text?
P1: They are grungers, goths, preppies, townies.
Teacher: These groups of teenagers have interests different from those of the mainstream culture.
Such cultural groupings are called SUBCULTURES. (слайд №3)
Teacher: A lot of young people nowadays follow some kind of youth culture. Many of them are familiar to you. Read their names, please. (слайд №4)
P1: They are punks, rockers, hippies, bikers, etc
Teacher: Read the description of different groups and members of groups, look at the pictures and find the names of these subcultures. (слайд №5-12)
