Задачи урока:

·  Активизировать лексику в речи;

·  Способствовать развитию навыков устной речи;

·  Способствовать развитию навыков чтения с целью детального понимания прочитанного.

Ход урока

I. Орг. момент.

Today we are going to read and discuss the rules to keep fit. We’ll listen to several dialogues and we’ll discuss the text “Mr Martin”. At the end of the lesson if we have time we’ll do some grammar exercises. I wish you good luck.

- Sport is probably as old as the humanity itself. It has been developing with the developing and growth of the mankind. All over the world people of different ages are very fond of sports and games. Sport not only helps people to become strong and to develop physically but also makes them more organized and better disciplined in their daily activities. It makes for a healthy mind in a healthy body. Sports help people to keep in good health.

We all need to exercise. Even if you don’t plan to make a career in sport you still have to practice. Regular exercises give you more energy. That is why many people who suffer from general tiredness should take more exercise than more rest. Exercise makes you feel and look better. The best exercise is one which involves in repeated movements, those are: walking, jogging or swimming. Bending and stretching will add flexibility and feeling of lightness.

Among the sports popular in our country are football, basketball, swimming, volleyball, ice hockey, tennis, gymnastics, figure skating. A person can choose sports and games for any season, for any taste.

- My family isn’t large. It consists of four members. But each member of our family has his own tastes and interests. For example, my brother is fond of sports. So early in the morning he goes jogging. That’s why he has nothing to eat before it, because it would be bad for him to eat before exercises. But when he comes back, he has a shower and is more than ready for breakfast. He always needs a cup of coffee to really wake him up. His breakfast usually consists of a plate of cereal with milk and sugar. This he follows by toasts and juice. My father eats the same as my brother.

My mother has a lighter breakfast of just juice and fruit. As for me, a cup of tea is enough for breakfast. And my mother sometimes scolds me for it, because it’s important to have a really good breakfast.

We don’t have our main meal at lunchtime. My father takes sandwiches with him to work. To be healthy, he also eats fruit. My mother is able to be more varied in her lunches, because she is a housewife. It means that she can prepare what she likes. Her favourite dish is roast meat. As she likes to bake, there is always something tasty at home.

Our evening meal is usually eaten at 7 o’clock. The main course is often meat with vegetables. Sometimes we eat pizza. We try to eat our main meal together. In our busy lives it is the one time of day when we sit down and have a good talk.

( T: Ulay has told us about the right food. It’s good for her family to eat fruit and vegetables. You know the proverb “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. I hope your family will be healthy for a long time.)

VII.Итоги урока.

P: Of course, it was. As I like music very much, I liked to sing the song, I think that my classmates sing songs very well. And besides of it I have got pleasure watching the dialogues. To my mind boys and girls are real actors.

P: As for me I liked the girl’s presentation. It was very interesting to learn how sport helps people to keep fit. Now I know that regular exercises give me more energy, and exercise makes me feel and look better. And Ulay’s presentation was also excellent. We have learnt a lot about the right food.
