Одной из форм внеклассной работы в нашем лицее проводится «Неделя английского языка в лицее». Внеклассные мероприятия по языку всегда интересны учащимся. За них не выставляют оценки, можно разговаривать на языке. Не боясь за ошибки в произношении и грамматике, возможность поработать в команде и узнать

много интересного о жизни, культуре англо-говорящих стран.

Вашему вниманию предлагаю разработку игры “ Jeopardy game”, которая была выполнена совместно с учащимися 10 классов. Игра предназначена для учащихся 9 – 11 классов.

Цели:

Создание условий для:

- повышения мотивации учащихся к изучению иностранного языка;

-развития исторических и лингвистических знаний;

- коммуникативной компетенции всех видов речевой деятельности (чтение, письмо, аудирование, говорение) на английском языке;

-расширения кругозора учащихся по страноведению;

-развиватия способности к сравнению, умозаключению, умению выражать своё отношение к теме; развивать способности к мышлению;

-создание условий для проявления индивидуальности и познавательной активности уча-

щихся.

Задачи:

– воспитание уважительного, толерантного отношения к иноязычной культуре;

– умение вести поисковую работу по интересным аспектам из жизни Великобритании;

– умение составлять электронную презентацию в компьютерной программе Microsoft Power Point;

- умение работать в команде;

Методы и приёмы обучения:

групповая деятельность учащихся, игра.

Jeopardy game.

Teacher: The rules of our Jeopardy game:

1.  Each team will one question from 6 topics: music, famous people, English proverbs, holidays, sport.

2.  If a question is answered correctly a team adds points to their score and continues the game.

3.  If a question is answered incorrectly, the opposing may choose team the question.

4.  A team having the most points is a winner.

5.  There is a pig in a poke. And you may pass the turn to the second team.

200 - Who sang a song in the film “Bodyguard” - Whitney Houston.

300 - A pig in a poke: Listen to the song and say who sings this song – Elton John.

400 - In 1968 two students of the London Imperial College, created a rock band , which was named “SMILE”. Nowadays this group has got the different name. What group is it? – “Queen”.

500- Most of this British group fan girls are on twitter NOT facebook. Of course, this group consists of only boys, they are five. - “One direction”.

100 - There were the interesting facts about this person but the most interesting thing is that we use many phrase without knowing that it is actually his quotes. The most popular and the most used one is surely this one which says :

“Love is blind”. - William Shakespeare.

200 - She did not shine as a student, but did well in music and ballet. She was working as a part time assistant in a nursery school in London. Mother Teresa always said “she is my daughter.” Who is it? – Diana Princess.

300 - Elizabeth II marks her birthday twice a year: privately on the actual birthday which is on the 21 st April and officially with the "Trooping the Colour " ceremony held in June, when the weather is good.

400- Christopher Robin …liked mathematics and cricket. He was very clever but didn’t want to understand it himself. The boy was rather shy and liked to help his father. –Milne.

500 - They were brilliant sailors and had the fastest boats. They crossed the Atlantic and founded a colony in North America 500 years before the Middle of the ninth century almost all the English kingdoms were defeated by them. – The Vikings.

100- East or West home is best – В гостях хорошо, а дома лучше.

200 – Everything is good in its season – Всякому овощу свое время.

300 –Let sleeping dog lie. – Не буди лихо, пока оно тихо.

400 –Dumb dogs are dangerous – Не бойся собаки брехливой, а бойся молчаливой.

500 - A cat in gloves catches no mice. – Без труда не вытащишь и рыбку из пруда.

400 – A pig in a poke: On the 14th February the British are very fond of giving flowers. Soft toys, balloons in the shape of a heart, paper Valentine cards are very popular. On this day sweet hearts exchange with …. they symbolize beauty and love.-Apples.

500 - Fun holiday is celebrated on the 1st of May. It is the festival of chimney sweeps. According to popular belief, the meeting with the chimney sweep brings…., and they are gladly invited to the wedding. - Happiness

100 – Britain is the Motherland of cricket, rugby, pooh sticks and... Football.

200 – The Championships, Wimbledon, The Wimbledon Championships or simply Wimbledon, is the oldest… tournament in the world, and widely considered the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in London since 1877. -Tennis

300 – This city in the  United Kingdom is most famous as a port during the late 19th and early 20th centuary. It is the birthplace of the famous rock group The Beatles. It is also famous because of it's football team Everton F. C. – Liverpool.

400 –The annual World Poohsticks Championships have been held on the river Thames in the UK since 1984. It is a simple sport which may be played on any bridge over running water; each player drops a stick on the upstream side of a bridge and the one whose stick first appears on the downstream side is the winner. The Poohsticks game was firstly mentioned in the book about… - Winnie the Pooh

500 - Englishmen love sports, they are called sport-lovers in spite of the fact that some of them neither play games nor even watch them. One of the favourite game is… . They think that summer without this game isn`t summer. – Cricket.
