ЦЕЛИ:
- ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНАЯ: расширять кругозор учащихся о США, своей стране и республике;
- ВОСПИТАТЕЛЬНАЯ: воспитывать любовь к своей стране и уважение к другим культурам;
- РАЗВИВАЮЩАЯ: формирование навыков общения.
ЗАДАЧИ:
1) обобщить материал по теме «США»;
2) практиковать учащихся в монологической и диалогической речи;
3) научить высказываться о своей стране и республике;
4) практиковать в употреблении грамматического материала по темам «Придаточные предложения времени и условия», «Артикли с географическими названиями».
ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ:
1) компьютер с проектором и экраном;
2) карта мира;
3) флажки России и США, приколотые на груди у детей.

T.: Today we shall speak about the United States of America and our Motherland Russia and the Chuvash Republic. You are divided into 2 groups. One group is Russian pupils and the other one is American schoolchildren. All of you have got Russian and American flags to know which group you belong to. Imagine that American schoolchildren have come here from the USA to tell you about their country and to learn something about Russia.

T.: The motto of our today’s meeting is: “The world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only a page”. The author of this saying is St. Augustin. Have you understood it? Translate it into Russian, please.
