Данный материал предназначен для учащихся 4 классов средних общеобразовательных школ и школ с углубленным изучением английского языка. Составленные устные темы и диалоги направлены, прежде всего, на развитие таких видов речевой деятельности, как устная и письменная речь и могут служить хорошей опорой для составления собственных устных и письменных высказываний при подготовке к итоговой аттестации в 4-х классах.

My friend

I have a lot of friends, but my best(лучший) friend is Egor. We made friends(подружились) two years ago. He is 10 years old. He is a slim boy. He has brown eyes and dark hair. Egor is clever and kind.

He is an only child(один ребенок в семье), and his parents(родители) love him very much. They live in a two-room flat. Egor’s parents are always very friendly to me.

We spend a lot of time together. We often watch videos or play computer games. Sometimes we go to the cinema or to the theatre. When the weather is fine we like to go for a walk or to ride a bike.

I never quarrel(ссориться) with Egor and miss him(скучаю без него) when we don’t see each other(друг-друга) for a long time(долго). I am happy to have such a friend.

My day off

I am in the fourth form(класс) and I go to school six day a nday is my only(единственный) day off. I like Sunday very much. On this day I usually get up at 9 o’clock. There is always an interesting programme (интересная программа) on TV so I watch it before we have breakfast.

On my day off I usually help my mum about the house. She likes when I wash the dishes or clean my room.

When the weather is fine, I always go for a walk to the forest. When the weather is bad, I usually stay at home and watch TV or read books.

In the evening all the members(члены) of our family get together(собираются вместе). We have our supper and talk(разговариваем) a lot. I enjoy(получать удовольствие) my days off very much.

Food

I usually have four meals a day. In the morning I have breakfast. At school I have lunch. At home I have dinner and in the evening I have supper. Besides(кроме того), I like to eat an apple or a banana, or to drink a glass of juice between meals, if I'm thirsty. Such(такая) food is good for me.
Yesterday I got up at 7 o'clock, cleaned teeth and dressed(оделся). Then I had breakfast. I had a cheese sandwich and a cup of tea for breakfast. At school we had a pie(пирог) and a glass of apple juice. I'm always hungry when I come home after school. Yesterday my mother cooked cabbage soup with meat and made an apple pie. It was so tasty(вкусный). I ate everything with pleasure. For supper we had pancakes(блины) with jam and sour cream(сметана). This is my favourite dish (любимое блюдо).
My mother thinks that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. That's why she buys fruit and vegetables every day. Yesterday she bought oranges and kiwi. I have a sweet tooth (сладкоежка) so my parents sometimes buy me sweets, chocolates, cakes and other tasty things. I like them very much.

Seasons

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

It is winter. December, January and February are winter months. It often snows in winter. There is a carpet of snow on the ground. The cold wind often blows in winter. The trees are bare(голые). It is nice in the forest in winter. There are snow-caps on the trees.

After winter comes spring. March, April and May are spring months. The air is fresh, the sky is blue and cloudless. The sun shines brightly. Sometimes the wind blows, but it is warm.

After spring comes summer. June, July and August are summer months. The weather is usually fine in summer. But sometimes it is very hot, especially in July.

After summer comes autumn. Autumn is a beautiful season. September, October and November are autumn months. It often rains in October and November. The leaves fall down from the trees and cover the ground. The sky is cloudy and the trees are bare.

My working day

I usually get up at 7 o’clock in the morning. I do my morning exercises. Then I make my bed and go to the bathroom(ванная), where I wash my face, hands and ears. At half past seven I have breakfast. My mother usually makes it for me.

I go to school at 8 o’clock. The lessons begin at half past eight. We usually have four lessons and I study(обучаюсь) six days a(в) week.

My lessons are over(заканчиваются) at half past twelve. Then I stay(остаюсь) at the extended-day group(группа продленного дня) where I have dinner and do my homework. After that I come home and have a mid-afternoon snack(полдник). At home I often help my mother about the house. I wash the dishes, go shopping and clean my room.

Sometimes I go for a walk with my friends. Sometimes I stay at home and read books if the weather is bad. We have supper at half past seven and in the evening I usually watch TV with my family.

At 10 o’clock I take a shower, brush my teeth and go to bed.

Sports and games

I like sports very much. In all schools there is a gym(спортивный зал) and a sports ground(спортивная площадка). Many people all over the world(по всему миру) go in for sports(занимаются спортом).

There are many kinds(виды) of sports: running, jumping, boxing, tennis, badminton, football. Not only children, but grown up(взрослые) people also like to play different(различные) sport games.

As for me(что касается меня) , I like football and basketball most of all(больше всего). I often play these games after school. My friend doesn’t like to play basketball, he likes to play tennis. But we always play football together. It’s our favourite(любимая) game.

I think people must go in for sports every day to be healthy(чтобы быть здоровым).

Food

Pupil 1: Hello! How are you?

Pupil 2: Hello! Fine, thank you. I’m glad to see you and how are you?

Pupil 1: I’m fine, thank you. And what do you usually have for breakfast?

Pupil 2: I usually have bread, butter and cheese for breakfast. I usually have my breakfast at 8 o’clock. And what do you usually have for dinner?

Pupil 1: I usually have meat, soup and juice for dinner. I usually have my dinner at 1 o’clock. Do you always have lunch at school?

Pupil 2: Yes, I do. I always have lunch at school. I like to have biscuits and tea, but I don’t like to have salad and fish for lunch.

And what about you? What do you like to have for lunch?

Pupil 1: I like to have juice and cakes, but I don’t like to have porridge for lunch. And what is your favourite food?

Pupil 2: My favourite food is cake. It is very tasty and I can cook it.

Pupil 1: Hello! How are you?

Pupil 2: Hello! Fine, thank you. I’m glad to see you and how are you?

Pupil 1: I’m fine, thank you. And what is your friend’s name?

Pupil 2: My friend’s name is Egor. He is 10 years old. He lives in Saltykovskaya street, in Moscow. My friend lives in a three-room flat. And what is your friend’s name?

Pupil 1: My friend’s name is Sasha. He is nine years old. He lives in Novokosinskaya street, near the school. He has got a big family: a father, a mother, two sisters and a grandmother. And has your friend got a family?

Pupil 2: Yes, he has. But his family is not very big: a father and a mother. My friend has got a lot of toys and we like to play with his toys very much. And what do you like to do with your friend?

Pupil 1: We like to play different ( разные) games and do sports together. We usually do sports in a school gym. But we don’t like to read books together. And what about you?

Pupil 2: We don’t like to do homework together. My friend is a very good boy. I never quarrel with him. He always helps me when I need.

Pupil 1: You are lucky.(Тебе повезло). “ A friend in need is a friend indeed.” («Друг познается в беде»)

Pupil 1: Hello! How are you?

Pupil 2: Hello! Fine, thank you. I’m glad to see you and how are you?

Pupil 1: I’m fine, thank you. I would like to play a game. Would you like to play with me?

Pupil 2: What game would you like to play?

Pupil 1: I would like to play football. Are you a good football player?

Pupil 2: Yes, I am. I’m a very good football player. I can play many games: tennis, basketball, volleyball and badminton. And what games do you like to play?

Pupil 1: I like to play different games: hide-and - seek, chess, hockey, football and other games. In summer I usually play in a playground. In winter I usually play indoors. And where do you usually play in summer and in winter?

Pupil 2: In summer I usually play in the sports ground. In winter I usually play indoors too. I like to play with my friends. And with whom do you like to play?

Pupil 1: I like to play with my elder brother and my uncle. Let’s play football together!

Pupil 2: With great pleasure!
