Тема урока: «Walt Disney is one of the successful people»

Тип урока: комбинированный

Цели урока:

·  образовательная: организовать работу по автоматизации и коррекции произносительных навыков, проведение отработки и контроля лексики по теме «Who is a successful person?», расширение словарного запаса учащихся за счёт лексики, предназначенной для рецептивного овладения, практиковать умение учащихся выражать своё отношение к прочитанному;

·  развивающая: развивать навыки говорения, чтения, развивать слухо-произносительные навыки, развивать способность учащихся понимать английскую речь на слух, развивать навыки самостоятельной работы учащихся, развивать память учащихся;

·  воспитательная: воспитывать положительное, уважительное и толерантное отношение к учёбе, учителю и одноклассникам., воспитывать дисциплину в классе.

Задачи урока:

1)  отработка слухо-произносительных фонетических навыков на основе пословиц;

2)  повторение и контроль лексики по теме «Who is a successful person?»;

3)  расширение пассивного словарного запаса учащихся;

4)  знакомство с жизнью и достижениями У. Диснея;

5)  работа с презентацией (отработка навыков чтения и перевода).

Оборудование: учебник для 8 класса «Enjoy English» – Обнинск: Титул, 2007 – 160 с.; карточки с лото, карточки с русскими словами для проведения словарного диктанта, доска для просмотра презентации.

Ход урока

I Организационный момент

-Good afternoon, children. I am glad to see you. Sit down, please.

-How are you, Sasha? (I am good, thank you) What season is it now? (Now it is winter) Do you like winter? (I like winter very much) What weather is it today? (The weather is fine today) Is it sunny today?(No, it isn’t) Is it cloudy today? (Yes, it is) What date is it today? (Today is the 16th of February)

- Good of you! Let’s remember what was the theme of our last lesson? (Who is a successful person?)

-Yes, you are right. Now, look at the board, please! Here you can see the proverbs from the last lesson. Lets read the proverbs altogether. Three, four!

1.  Every man is the architect of his own fortune. (Каждый человек-кузнец своего счастья/)

2.  A cat in gloves catches no mice. ( Без труда не вытащишь и рыбку из пруда/)

3.  Rome was not built in a day. (Москва не сразу строилась/)

4.  Live and learn. (Век живи – век учись/)

-Thank you. Lets remember the meaning of these proverbs. What are the Russian equivalents of these proverbs? Well, how do you think, what proverb is the most important for our theme? (the first) Now try to learn this proverb. You have 30 seconds.

-Good of you! Last time we studied the new words and your home task was to learn these words. Would you like to play? I will give you the cards with the Russian words and you will find their English pair. You have 3 minutes for this task (игра «Лото») Three pairs who will be the first and who will have no mistakes, he or she will get the star! (работа в парах)

I think that Walt Disney is the father of American cartoons. Do you agree with me? For today I prepared the presentation about Walt Disney. But at first look at the board, please!
