Цели:
Обучающая: активация лексики по теме «Праздники: Рождество и Новый год».
Развивающая: развитие творческих способностей у детей, формирование положительной мотивации учения, развитие внимания, воображения, догадки, слухопроизносительных навыков.
Воспитывающая: воспитание у обучающихся чувства уважения к национальным традициям и праздникам.
Задачи: введение нового материала по теме «New Year» и «Christmas»,
активация лексики
Оборудование: компьютер, компьютерная презентация, елка, рождественские открытки
Ход урока
I. Организационный момент.
- Good morning, children!
- Good morning, teacher!
- Sit down, please! Let’s start our English lesson. What date is it today?
Обучающийся 1 – Today is the 7th of December.
- Who is on duty today?
Обучающийся 2 – I am!
- Who is absent today?
Обучающийся 2 – Dudaev, Chochiev, Hupova are absent today.
- Sit down, please!
- Children, what season is it now?
Обучающиеся – The winter is now!
- Is it cold?
Обучающиеся – Yes it is!
- Is it snowing?
Обучающиеся – Not yet!
Учитель задает вопрос:
- Boys and girls it is very interesting for me to learn which holiday is your favorite?
Обучающиеся – Christmas, New Year.
- Why is it your favorite holidays?
Обучающийся 3 – Because this is the time of magic and fun and time for presents!

Учитель задает вопросы: 1. What winter holidays do you know?
Обучающиеся: - Christmas and New Year.
2. What is the favorite holiday in Britain?
Обучающиеся – Christmas.
3. Do you know anything about Christmas?
Обучающиеся – Yes, we know.
Обучающийся 2 читает текст «Christmas»
On the 25th of December English children celebrate Christmas. It is Christian holiday that celebrates the Birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is their favorite holiday. This holiday is celebrated at home. Santa Claus with white bear and red suit comes down the chimney into the house at night and leaves gifts for children. “Jingle Bells”, “We wish you a merry Christmas”, “Silent Night” are very popular in England. The main food is turkey.
Now answer the questions:
1. What kind of holiday is Christmas?

Not all English people celebrate New Year. A lot of people go to Trafalgar Square to see the Christmas tree. They leave a New Year party at home. On that day they wish their dearest and nearest a “Happy New Year”. When Big Ben strikes1 twelve they drink a toast to the New Year. In America people celebrate New Year, too. They visit their relatives and friends or have parties at home. English and American people often make New Year's resolutions' — they are promises2 for the New Year.
