Урок в шестом классе по теме “ Wild Animals Which Are In Danger of Becoming
Extinct “
Цель Урока :
Обобщить лингвострановедческий материал по теме. Углубить и расширить знания по теме.
Совершенствовать умения и навыки владения Интернет-сайтом в поисках необходимой информации.
Совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения языком по следующим видам деятельности: говорению, чтению, письму.
Обучение ознакомительному чтению с последующим выполнением письменных и устных упражнений.
Оформление урока : плакат-эмблема организации по защите вымирающих животных WWF, компьютеры, подключенные к Интернет - сайту, необходимые учащимся таблицы ( WORKSHEET I , II ), альбомные листы бумаги для создания проекта, цветные карандаши.
План Урока : 1. сообщение темы урока, его задач
2. речевая зарядка по теме урока
3. краткие ответы-сообщения об истории организации WWF, о жизни некоторых животных, взятых под охрану WWF
4. Работа над текстом. Проверка понимания прочитанного с дальнейшем выполнением заданий ( WORKSHEET I )
5. Написание послания своему ровеснику в будущее о некоторых видах животных, которые находятся на грани исчезновения. Поиск необходимой информации идет через Интернет-сайт.
6.Работа в группах.
7. Презентация. Создание информационного постера с изображением некоторых животных, проживающих в разных частях света. В проекте должны быть отражены следующие пункты : а) название животного
b) место обитания c) что ест d) количество на сегодняшний день. Представление и защита проекта .

Ход Урока
1. Сообщение темы урока
Teacher : Good morning boys and girls! Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson. The theme of our lesson is “ The meeting with the animals which are in danger of becoming extinct “. Today we’ll speak about the World Wildlife Federation, its functions. Using the Internet site we’ll find some information about the extinct animals, then you’ll write a message to your future friend about the animals which are in danger of becoming extinct and invent your own informational poster about these animals.
Now, look at the blackboard. What is there on it? What are we going to talk about?
Pupil I : We are going to talk about the World Wildlife Federation, about the animals which are in real danger of becoming extinct.
Teacher : What is the symbol of the WWF?
Pupil II : The symbol of the WWF is Panda.
Teacher : What are the functions of the WWF?
Pupil III : One of the main functions of the WWF is to protect the extinct animals and to increase the number of the animals which are in real danger of becoming extinct.
Teacher : What animals which need our help do you know?
Pupil IV : For example, panda, the Siberian ( Amur ) tigers, penguins, polar and brown bears.

V. После проверки выполненного задания учитель предлагает начать оформление послания будущему другу и как образец помогает заполнить таблицу сведениями о панде, полученные после прочтения текста “ Save the Pandas “.

VI. Учитель предлагает учащимся разделиться на группы, выбрать старосту( the monitor ) , который будет представлять работу группы и выбрать название группы. Например , WWF Russia или WWF USA. Группа, представляющая ту или иную страну, ищет в Интернете информацию об исчезающих животных в этой стране. Группа работает самостоятельно. Учитель подходит к каждому ученику и только направляет его работу.
Teacher : You have to split into groups of four or five. Each group has its own monitor, who is responsible for the work of group and for the further oral presentation. You have to choose the name for your group. For example,
WWF Russia or WWF USA. It means, the first group has to find out the information about the extinct animals of Russia and the second group has to find the information about the animals which are in danger in the USA.
The teacher doesn’t interfere in the process of working with the Internet-site, only facilitates and helps the students to fill in the table.
VII. Заполнив таблицу сведениями о разных животных, например о The Amur Tigers или о The Golden Eagle учащимся предлагается подготовить устную презентацию по готовому образцу :

VIII. Прослушав презентацию трех групп им предлагается создать свой информационный постер-проект о животном , которое находиться на грани исчезновения. В проекте необходимо указать название животного , среду обитания и его привычки. Учащиеся указывают общее количество этих животных на сегодняшний день.
Teacher : Your oral presentations are perfect. Now your groups are supposed to create your own informational poster about the animals which are in danger of becoming extinct. Your group have to draw a pictureof the animal, give its physical and behavioral characteristics, describe its habitat. After that the monitor will present the project.
