General Instructions for Authors
While we welcome any original academic work for publication, we expect the following:
- The work submitted for publication has not been published before, except in the form of abstracts, preprints, published lectures, theses, proceedings-type publications, or discussion papers that have not undergone full journal peer-review, and it is not under consideration for peer-reviewed publication elsewhere. The authors are aware that their submission will be automatically checked for plagiarism. In their own interest, they should avoid dubious cases (e. g. exact copies of site or method descriptions) by using quotation marks and citing the original work. Its publication has been approved by all author(s) and, tacitly or explicitly, by the responsible authorities and/or the institutes where the work has been carried out. If and when the manuscript is accepted for peer-reviewed publication, it may be re-used in other works as a quoted material acknowledging the author(s). The authors have secured the right to reproduce any material in his/her/their work that has already been published elsewhere. The authors agree to the License and Copyright Agreement. The authors agree to the article processing charges valid on the date of manuscript submission (receipt of electronic files). The authors agree to and have obeyed the General Obligations for Authors. From submission to publication, the authors of a manuscript are formally represented by the registered contact author(s). After publication, the authors of a manuscript are formally represented by the corresponding author(s) specified in the published paper. The authors are aware that discussion papers remain permanently archived, accessible and citeable. With regard to the evaluation of manuscripts, the editors and the reviewers will follow their guidelines as summarized in the General Obligations for Authors and the General Obligations for Reviewers. The journals' editorial boards reserve the right to remove reviewer’s reports and any other comments if they contain personal insults. The use of general descriptive names, trade names, trademarks, etc., in the articles of this journal, even if not specifically identified, does not imply that these names are not protected by the relevant laws and regulations. The members of the journals' editorial boards try to guide the review process as carefully as possible but cannot take legal responsibility for the outcome and aftermath of acceptance or rejection. While the advice and information in the journals is believed to be true and accurate at the date each article is published, neither the authors, the editors, nor GLAC INTERNATIONAL LTD can accept any legal responsibility for any errors or omissions that may be made. GLAC INTERNATIONAL LTD Publications makes no guarantee, expressed or implied, with respect to the material contained herein.
General obligations for authors
1. An author's primary obligation is to present a concise, accurate account of the research performed, as well as an objective discussion of its significance.
2. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to public sources of information to permit the author's peers to replicate the work.
3. A paper should be as concise as possible but not at the expense of scientific accuracy and completeness. To promote scientific conciseness and completeness at the same time, the inclusion of a comprehensive abstract is encouraged.
4. Papers have to be written in English, and authors should pay attention to correct spelling and grammar.
5. An author should cite those publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work and that will quickly guide the reader to the initial work essential for understanding the present investigation. Information obtained privately, as in conversation, correspondence, or discussion with third parties, should not be used or reported in the author's work without explicit permission from the investigator with whom the information originated. Information obtained in the course of confidential services, such as refereeing manuscripts or grant applications, should be treated similarly.
6. Fragmentation of research papers should be avoided. A scientist who has done extensive work on a system or group of related systems should organize publication so that each paper gives a complete account of a particular aspect of the general study.
7. It is inappropriate for an author to submit manuscripts describing essentially the same research to more than one journal of primary publication.
8. A criticism of a published paper may sometimes be justified; however, in no case is personal criticism considered to be appropriate.
9. To protect the integrity of authorship, only persons who have significantly contributed to the research and paper preparation should be listed as authors. The corresponding author attests to the fact that any others named as authors have seen the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication. Deceased persons who meet the criterion for co-authorship should be included, with a footnote reporting date of death. No fictitious names should be listed as authors or co-authors. The author who submits a manuscript for publication accepts the responsibility of having included as co-authors all persons that are appropriate and none that are inappropriate.
10. To ensure peace and harmony, all articles of political nature should be geared towards promoting peace and harmony in Africa and in no way should it be focused on promoting unrest.
