Audit Form for a Fletcher Course

Full-time Fletcher students may register to audit ONE FLETCHER COURSE CREDIT PER SEMESTER. Upon satisfaction of a certified audit grade requirement as specified by the instructor, the certified audit (CA) grade will be recorded on the student’s transcript. It is the student’s responsibility to speak with the instructor at the start of the course to determine the requirements for receiving a Certified Audit.

Audits are not credited toward degree or course distribution requirements. If a student does not earn a CA in an audited course, the course will not appear on printed transcripts. Also, a student who is registered full-time may also, subject to the discretion of the professor, attend classes as a “visiting guest” that he or she is neither auditing nor taking for credit. There is no additional payment for auditing a class.

With the permission of the instructor, students may also cross-register to audit foreign language classes at Tufts University. However, because Tufts University does not recognize audits, foreign language classes taken at Tufts University for audit will not appear on the student’s Fletcher transcript. To audit foreign language classes at Tufts University you must complete and return the Cross-Registration Petition for Auditing Language Course Tufts University (the yellow form in the forms rack).

**Audited courses will not be added to your SIS schedule
until AFTER the Registration Period has ended, and we are able to confirm a seat is available in the course. As a result, in the interim, you may need to arrange via the instructor to be added to their course’s Trunk site as a Guest.**
