Summer 6-a-side football rules

This competition is primarily for fun and enjoyment and players must adopt a fair and sporting manner at all times.

1.  Maximum number of players on the field at one time is six. Maximum Ten players per team. Rolling subs. At least two women on at all times.

2.  Only registered and paid up players can compete.

3.  Goals can only be scored from outside the goal circle and within opposition half.

4.  No goalkeeper. Defending team returns ball after it has gone over end line by a goal kick from ground inside circle with defenders back 10m.

5.  Defenders may only enter goal circle to retrieve stopped ball. Restart with goal kick as per rule 4.

6.  Shoes must be worn. Soft soled shoes only. No hard sprigged boots. Shin guards recommended.

7.  Matching coloured team shirts shall be worn.

8.  No offside.

9.  Ten-minute halves.

10.  No slide tackling. Adults tackle children gently.

11.  Serious foul play, dissent of referee, or foul language will result in dismissal from the game.

12.  Free kicks will all be indirect i. e. no goal can be scored directly. No penalty kicks.

13. Usual throw in and corners.
