Тема урока: “On the way to school”

1) Тема устной речи: «Объяснение пути (дороги)».

2) Грамматическая тема: предлоги движения и направления, повелительное наклонение.

3) Текст для чтения или аудирования: маршруты учителя и учеников, диалог между Карен и женщиной.

Цель урока: развитие коммуникативной компетенции через формирование языковых знаний и навыков.

Задачи урока:

Практические:

1) развивать навыки устной речи;

2) активизировать ЛЕ по теме;

3)активизировать грамматический материал: предлоги, повелительное наклонение.

Воспитательные:

1) воспитание культуры учащихся средствами иностранного языка;

2) формирование лингвистической компетенций.

Good morning, dear guests! We are glad to see you! Today we’ll have a concluding lesson of the section “On the way to school”. That’s why at our lesson we are to: ·  Practice asking for and giving directions; ·  Practice using the Imperative and prepositions of place and movement. And as a rule I’d like to begin our lesson with the phonetic exercise. Look at these words and tell me what sound is common for them. Right you are. Let’s read these words altogether. Will you read the first line? Will you read the second line? Will you read the third line? We’ll need some of these words at our lesson. Translate some of them from R-E: Где Прямо Боюсь Хорошо Светофор Путь, дорога And now let’s revise the expressions which we need to ask the way. I have four cards with different situations. Read them and be ready to ask for help and give your replies. You have half a minute. Well, I see that you know how to ask the way and now let’s check how you have managed with your hometask. It was to complete the dialogues. Ex.11 p.93. To give and understand directions we must know the prepositions of place and movement. Let’s revise them. Repeat after me. Now read them in the chain and translate. And now look at the picture and using the prepositions answer my questions. Where is: ·  the grandpa sitting? ·  the mother sitting? ·  the father standing? ·  the boy sitting? ·  the girl going? ·  the dog going? ·  the young boy going? ·  the baby? When we want to explain the way we are to know not only prepositions and the Imperative and the words to explain the way, too. Look at the board and repeat these words after me. Now read and translate. I’d like you to translate the sentences using these words. You have two minutes to look through them. You may make notes. 1.  Перейдите дорогу. Около банка поверните направо. 2.  Идите прямо. Поверните на втором перекрестке направо. 3.  Идите налево до угла улицы. 4.  Пройдите два квартала и поверните налево. 5.  Я смогу дойти туда пешком или мне следует сесть на автобус? 6.  Ты ездишь в школу на автобусе, не так ли? 7.  Идите прямо до светофора. 8.  Почта напротив банка. 9.  Аптека рядом с госпиталем. Your time is up. Are you ready? Let’s check. I see you are tired a little. Let’s have a rest. Do what I say: ·  Stand up ·  Hands up ·  Hands down ·  Bend left ·  Bend right ·  Stand straight ·  Turn around ·  Sit down, please. I have two maps of the cities. Look at them. There are many buildings there. But I need only one place. If you listen to my directions very attentively you will get to the place. Route 1: you are near the baker’s. Turn right and go along the street till the Police Station. Then turn left and cross the road. You are at the corner of the street. The building at the corner is the place you need. Route 2: you are near the bank. Cross the road and go left till the corner of the street. Turn right and go straight along the street till the second crossroad. Then turn left and go along the building of the Grand Hotel. The place next to the Hotel is the place you need. Now you are to work in groups. Join each other, please. Think about your own way. Discuss it in groups. But don’t say your final place. Give a chance to other groups to guess. You have two minutes. Well done. Here is the next task for you. Look at the dialogue between Darren and Woman and complete it with the words on the right. You have one minute. Let’s check. Listen to it. Now work in pairs and make your own dialogues. P2: I’m afraid, I’m can’t. Pair 2: P1: Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to the Pharmacy, please? P2: No problem. Pair 3: P1: Excuse me, could you tell me where the Post office is, please? P2: Well,… Pair 4: P1: Excuse me, could you tell me the way to the railway station, please? P2: I’m afraid, I don’t know. Ps отвечают домашнее задание Ps читают предлоги хором за T. Читают и переводят:P1-P2…P10 Ps отвечают на вопросы T: Next to granny. Opposite them. Behind mother. In front of mother. She is going up. It is going down. Through the door. Between parents. Ps читают хором с T. P2, P5, P8…P6 читают фразы и переводят. Ps переводят предложения на карточках, могут делать заметки. Ps читают предложения и на доске появляется правильный ответ. 1.  Cross the road. At the bank turn to the right. 2.  Go straight. Turn right at the second crossroad. 3.  Go left till the corner of the street. 4.  Walk two blocks and then turn left. 5.  Can I go there on foot or should I take a bus? 6.  You go to school by bus, don’t you? 7.  Go straight till the traffic lights. 8.  The post office is opposite the bank. 9.  The pharmacy is next to hospital. Ps показывают движения, которые говорит T. Ps внимательно слушают указания (направление движения) T и находят необходимое место. P: Is it a supermarket? P: Is it a park? Ps работают в группах и обсуждают свои маршруты. Group 1: you are near the library. Go left till the corner of the street. Then cross the road. Turn left. When you pass the greengrocer’s cross the road. Group 2: you are near the cinema. Turn left and go straight till the corner of the bank. Then turn right and cross the road. Go ahead till the traffic light. The building next to it is the place you need. Group 3: you are near the school. Cross the road and then go left. At the corner of the street turn right. Then go straight along the street. После составления маршрута один из членов группы рассказывает его, не сообщая конечное место. Две другие группы угадывают и т. д. Ps необходимо вставить пропущенные слова в диалог. Слова даны справа от диалога. P: Excuse me P: There P: how P: along P: turn P: straight P: into P: between Ps в парах составляют свои диалоги.
