Scene1

(В углу лежит Мамонтенок. Поднимается.)

Little mammoth: Mum!(через некоторое время.)Mum!!! (оглядывается. Идет к центру сцены. На встречу выходит Медвежонок.)

Bear Cub:How are you?

Little mammoth: I don’t know. Im looking for my mum. Have you seen her?

Bear Cub: No, I haven’t. (Дядюшка Морж медленно выползает и ложится в углу сцены) Lets go to Uncle Walrus. He knows evetything.

(Идут к дядюшке Моржу)

Bear Cub: Good morning, Uncle Walrus.

Little mammoth: Good morning.

Uncle Walrus: Hello, kids.

Little mammoth: Im looking for my mum. Have you seen her?

Uncle Walrus: Long-long ago there lived animals like you, but then they left for Africa.

Little mammoth: I also want to go to Africa and find my mum/

Uncle Walrus: Then youll have to climb an ice floe and sail across the ocean to Africa.

Little mammoth: Ill do whatever you tell me to do.

( Дядюшка Морж кладёт льдину( кусок пенопласта, белую ткань) на середину сцены. Мамонтенок садится на нее.)

Bear Cub: good-bye.

Uncle Walrus: good-bye. Good luck!

Little mammoth: Thank you for your e.

( мамонтенок сидит на льдине и поет. Постепенно, пока звучит песня, с двух сторон входят, танцуя, дети, изображающие волны, в руках длинные широкие шарфы или полоски из легкой ткани.)

Because it`s impossible - almost –

Scene 2

( Мамонтенок спрыгивает со льдины. Звучит музыка. Появляются Бабочка и Попугай. Кружатся по сцене, раскладывают цветы. Бегемотиха выносит на сцену пальму. Навстречу Мамонтенку выходит Обезьянка. Мамонтенок время от времени любуется бабочкой)

Little Monkey: Who are you?

(Попугай, пролетая мимо, за всеми повторяет слова.)

Parrot: Who are you?

Little Mammoth: I don’t know. I’m looking for my mum.

Parrot: … looking for my mum…

Little Monkey: I’ve never seen her. Let’s go to Aunty Hippo knows everything.

Parrot: … knows everything.

Little Mammoth: Who are you?

Parrot: I am Parrot.

Little Mammoth: Why do you repeat my words?

Parrot: I do it out mere habit. But I can help you. You see, I have been living here for three hundred years…

(Мамонтенок обращается а бабочке)

Little Mammoth: Oh… You are such a beauty! Could you, please, help me? I am looking for my mum.

( Бабочка всё время отвечает невпопад.)

Butterfly: Wow! I see a red flower.

( подбежала к цветку, покружилась вокруг него, вернулась обратно).

Little Mammoth: Dear Butterfly, will you please tell me… I am looking for my mum…

Butterfly: (кружась и танцуя, подбегая к синему цветку, потом к желтому, возвращается)

… and a blue flower… and a yellow one…

Little Mammoth: : Dear Butterfly…

Butterfly: I have been living here only for a day.

I know nothing … and a where flower

( кружась и танцуя, уходит)

Parrot: Aunty Hippo knows everythihg.

(Выходит тётя Бегомотиха)

Aunty Hippo: I heard every word you said. (Мамонтенку)

You look like an elephant. (Обезьянке)

Would you, please, wait for Aunty Elephant?

Little Monkey: She will be here in a moment.

(Обезьянка Убегает. Появляется тетушка Слониха)

Aunty Elephant: Lond - lond ago there lived animals

like you in the North. They called

Mammoths. I think you are a little mammoth.

Little Mammoth: (грустно) Does that mean I’m

not an elephant and you aren’t my

mother?

Aunty Elephant: Don’t be upset. You are my son,

because mammoths came to Africa and

became elephants.

Little Mammoth: So, I am an elephant who lived

Lond – lond ago.

Aunty Elephant: Of course, you are.

( Звучит музыка. Тетушка Слониха обнимает Мамонтенка. Все звери

Выходят на сцену. Водят хоровод вокруг Тётушки Слонихи и Мамонтенка, поют песню Мамонтенка «On huge sea to green Iand…» Попугай и бабочка кружатся по сцене. Дядюшка Морж и тётушка Бегемотиха лежат по углам сцены и хлопают в ладоши)
