Тема урока «Рождество идет!»
Цель: Формирование у обучающихся коммуникативной и социокультурной компетенций.
Задачи:
- Способствовать развитию лексических навыков по теме «Рождество» с последующим применением их в монологическом высказывании. Создать условия для совершенствования навыков продуктивного письма. Способствовать формированию социокультурной компетенции Способствовать формированию духовно-нравственных ценностей у учащихся
· Оборудование: Компьютер, мультимедийный экран и проектор, раздаточный материал, школьная доска
· 1. Warming up.
Dear friends! Dear guests! Look around! There are a lot of unusual things: a tree, stockings, different decorations. Why are they here? Which holiday is coming? (students answer) …Our topic is: Christmas is coming.
· 2. Introduction. (student 1)
Christmas is one of the most wonderful and honored holidays in the world. English speaking countries celebrate it on the 25th of December. Today is Christmas Eve and we try to remind its atmosphere. Because it’s a significant event when everybody is going to gather their families and celebrate Jesus Christ’s - our Savior’s - birthday.
(Singing a song Silent Night).
· 3. Vocabulary.
Because of its great importance we have to tell about it. All of you have got a holiday passport which needs to be filled in. There are useful words (Christmas Vocabulary, http//www. agendaweb. org. Christmas Book).Please, read, repeat and write their translation into Russian if you don’t know them (a holiday passport #4 attributes).
· 4. Break
Now we shall take a break and cheer up. Please, let’s do it all together, sing and dance!( a song If you are happy)
· 5. Presentations (students 2,3,4)
And now it’s high time to sit round the tables and taste some of traditional Christmas desserts and drinks. There is a gingerbread man, a pudding and an eggnog (students` presentations about Christmas dishes and real tasting). Help yourself to our desserts!
· 6. Wishes
Please, look at #6 line (Wishes) in your holiday passport! Let’s go to the blackboard and write your Christmas wishes to everybody, filling in your passports!
· 7. Game
You’ve got a jigsaw puzzle and your task is to make the whole song as soon as possible.
Now let’s read it to check.

· 8. Giving presents
Now we know just everything about Christmas. Answer my questions, please!
When is it celebrated? Why is it celebrated? How is it celebrated?
It’s high time to give presents. It’s a very pleasant Christmas tradition!

You have to complete this holiday passport and tell us about Christmas next lesson.
· 10. Reflection.
