Ход урока: Good morning, boys and girls. Glad to see you. Sit down, please.
Today we are going to speak about Mass Media and the role of the Media
Modern life.

3.Which of the mass media is the most popular in your family?
4.What kind of newspapers do you know?
5.What is the difference between tabloids and quality newspapers?

Here is a list of 14 phrases to describe the advantages and disadvantages of the
different mass media. I want you to place each phrase under one of the
headings below.
Optimistic Pessimistic

people, to get lazy, to receive information, to travel round the world without
wasting money, to put on weight, to find new friends, to have no time to
communicate with relatives, to damage your eyes, a lot of silly ads, to take
part in shows, to sleep badly after horror films, to study at home.

Why do we use them?(to be tolerant, more positive, democratic and polite)
If we use them, we will have better relations with each other.

Can we live without Mass Media in modern life? No, we cannot. There are
more pluses and advantages. But do not forget that all of them influence
