TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Booking - Enrolment is made by the completion of the registration form by a group leader or an individual via e-mail, fax or internet and the payment of the registration fee is included. Groups will be assigned in accordance to the language level which is evaluated by the specific English/French language tests. Deadline of booking sis 30 days prior to course start date. Spaces are limited and reservations are given based on a first-come, first-serve bases. Insurance cover - All participants have to be covered by a recognized travel insurance. Proof may be required upon request.
Payment - Upon submission and signature of the registration form, an invoice is issued to the applicant. The payment deadline is stated on the proforma invoice and has to be settled in accordance. The participant is confirmed his participation upon clearance of the fees and provided with required documentation for visa support. The administration is not responsible for the decision of the Swiss authorities on granting an entrance educational visa and residence permit in Switzerland.
Course organization - Tuition and excursions are held according to a pre-defined schedule. The organizer holds the right to undertake changes to the course program, reassign groups, replace faculty in case of necessity, change location and venue of the course delivery and program. The administration shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any luggage or any person undertaking a course, or any loss, delay or inconvenience, or fatal or other injuries or illness suffered by that person, provided the administrator has exercised reasonable care.
Participants - Students in the course come from multicultural backgrounds and have to show respects towards each others cultures at all times. Groups leaders - If a group of 15 or more students is attending the summer business course, one group leader will be entitled to attend with the group free of charge. Should an additional leader for a group of less than 15 people be sent, a 20% discount is awarded towards the retails price. Group leaders are subject to a specific job description.
Examination/Certification - Exam attestation is taking place at the end of the 4 weeks program. Only students who have missed less than 5 classes are allowed to enter the exam. A certificate is issued on a successful completion of the summer business school program, if a pass is achieved.
Attendance and discipline - Attendance of the courses and scheduled excursions is obligatory. The following is prohibited during class:
-usage of mobile phones, pagers and other tools for mobile devices
-food and hot beverages
Smoking is not allowed in any parts of the school.
It is not allowed to bring pets to the schools.
Dismissing - The organizers are entitled to dismiss students who fail to attend more than 5 classes without good reasoning and/or serious infringement of the discipline, misconduct incompatible for the Student’s remaining among any other students. Serious reasoning includes consequence of “force majeure” circumstances and proof of medical statements in case of illness.
Cancellation - Cancellation can be done by the participant by submitting a written request. If the request is submitted at least 60 days prior to course start, 50% of the fees will be reimbursed. If any cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to course start date, no refund can be claimed.
Deposit - Participants will be required to pay a deposit of CHF 200. The administrator will return the full amount if the participants has not been responsible for any damages. In case of groups, a group leader will be responsible for the collection and return of the deposit.
Changes to course program and fees - The administration is optimizing the study objective in accordance to a minimum and maximum amount of participants per group. Should the minimum amount of participants per grow not be achieved, the organizer has the right to cancel the course and reimburse the participant. In alternative the course can be delivered to the group for extra charges, if both parties agree. The administration reserves the right to impose changes to the course program, pricing and general terms and conditions.
Force Majeure - The parties are relieved from their responsibility for full or partial non-fulfillment of their obligations under the present Contract, in consequence of “force majeure” circumstances, such as flooding, fire, earthquake, and also in case of war and military operations or prohibition of the competent state bodies. The party which cannot further fulfill its obligations for reasons of “force majeure”, shall, without undue delay, notify the other party in writing of the beginning, the expected term and the termination of the specified circumstances.
Law - This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions which are governed by Swiss law which applies exclusively (jurisdiction Geneva)
